Needs an update
The app was working fine until today. Using the remote feature causes it to scroll more than one space. It does multiple before it stops. I had to go back to the game remote to be able to scroll properly. Hopefully they’ll be a fix for it soon. Other than that I’ve had no other issues
Why doesn’t Nvidia care?
The company can make top of the line graphics cards, but doesn’t even bother to fix their remote app that hasn’t worked for me reliably for years.
The bugs were tolerable and got worse over time. And it’s got nothing to do with my Internet or shield tv. Happens at my house, and any friends house I go to who also has a shield tv
I’ve used the app over the course of years and get the latest iPhone every year and the app just keeps getting worse over time. Get your stuff together! Make a shield tv remote app that just works please

Keyboard doesn’t work!
Normal controls work fine but the keyboard, the thing I want the app for, doesn’t work!
Works great!
A bit problematic if it can’t find the Shield device. Needed to reset my network connections on my iPhone after rebooting my router, the Shield, and my iPhone didn’t work.
Doesn’t work
The app scans for a Sheildndevice on the network but never finds it. You can still force a connection using the IP address, but then it disconnects after less than five seconds. Unusable in its current form.
This app needs a serious update
When it works, it works great, however that is becoming less and less frequent. In the last month, I’m encountering more instances where it won’t connect to my Shield even though the network is strong and the device is online. More frustrating lately is the responsiveness of the remote. One click causes it to speed excessively through menus or the button response on a click is like it’s being held. The aggravation is beyond words.

Fix no where in sight
It has been years and the app still constantly disconnects from the shield every minute or so. Constantly need to reconnect to the shield to use the app. Super frustrating when trying to use the remote to control or type.
Brilliant app
I lost my original remote. So this app was a real game changer and has been working great!!!
However, today it’s bugging for the first time in my experience. The remote is just outright non responsive right now. Not sure what the problem is.

unreliable
when it works it works great- but the amount of times it has said “unable to connect” for no reason and then after 10 minutes of trying will randomly decide to start working- is very frustrating.
