Couldn’t Be Easier
Really love this app, I’ve downloaded so many journal apps in the past and this is the only one I’ve ever been able to use consistently. Whenever I have a thought pop into my head I just open this app and start typing. It’s just so simple to use, and I know my thoughts will be organized thanks to hashtags. My only complaint is that I wish you could edit your entries after posting them—sometimes I notice spelling or grammar errors in hindsight. It would also be fantastic if we could post pictures to our entries—sometimes a photo is worth a thousand words. Finally, it would be cool if we could customize just a little bit, such as background color or font style. In any case, I’m in love with this app and use it multiple times a day, so thank you for creating it! 🙏

I really want to love this but...
I NEED AN AUTO SAVE FEATURE!!
I typically will write out my day’s thoughts while talking to friends and using other apps. If the cache is cleared, I lose everything. This has happened twice and is a massive frustration when it happens. Please please please implement a way that the “draft” postings will persist within the app before it is loaded onto the “official” timeline

Thank you for the feedback! That is definitely something I want to push for in the next couple releases. Before that, I’d recommend shorter frequent “micro” entries.
Love this app but.
I love this app. By far the best journal app I’ve found. Only issue is the lock feature isn’t working. I have it toggled on, but when I close it and reopen it later it doesn’t require my pin or face to unlock.
Great journaling app
Simple, clean, easy to use. It’s a beautiful dark mode app. I feel very comfortable putting my thoughts here because the developer has made it secure and private by not making everything cloud based.
It feels private in a way other apps don’t which is a huge plus for a journal app.
I also like that I can toggle the screen to private mode. The search and tag features are good, too and helps me with tracking different things like ideas, moods, quotes.
It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite apps.
Only suggestion is the ability to change font to sans serif.

Quick feature request: I know you can tag and search by tags, but a really useful functionality for me would be the ability to Star entries, and filter by starred entries only.
With tagging, I don’t always know if the entry is important enough to be tagged as an important entry, and since entries are not editable, makes it hard to look and look at only the important entries I made.

Thank you for the shoutout and the feature suggestion! I can see how favoriting can be useful, especially when you go back and reflect on what you wrote. I’ll put that on the list.

Simple great. I’ll change to 5 stars if I could change the font to Sans Serif ☺️.
Nails the core functionality
This is probably the only journal app I would ever care to use. As of writing it does not require you to lock in to its system. Your data is yours to take with you via a JSON export.
The idea of open and write is exactly what a journal should be.
A few things I would love to see are:
- Ability to edit entries (hope I’m not just missing this)
- Either a focus mode or design update where what you are currently writing is visually separated from previous entries.
- Another change that could help with focus is that when opening the app, you don’t see previous entries and you have to swipe down to see the timeline. That way you just focus on the entry you are trying to write.

Love the concept of focus mode. And your suggestion of not showing previous logs on open app when it’s toggled seems to be most nature. I dig it! Edit is coming. Currently not supported. Thank you and enjoy journaling. 🙏
Simple and Minimalistic
I love just how simple this app is. It’s perfectly apt to call this your own personal twittter to rant to no one. And that can be therapeutic. The only change I would make it the ability to add tags to comments after hitting enter. I think not being able to edit comments is a good idea but I would like to add hashtags when I think of them and not just when writing the comment.
