Perfect way to develop verb skill
I have used other apps, books and Spanish language films and music to learn and practice my Spanish. They all gave a role to play, but this app consolidates the rules around verb conjugation and gives valuable practice. In addition, it helps build verb vocabulary with lists of common verbs that follow the rules and their meanings. This a perfect addition to your Spanish learning tools. The only spanish learning app you really need
I’ve spent 10 years learning Spanish inconsistently with various courses and apps. This is by far the best resource I’ve come across in my Spanish learning journey. Now that I live in a Spanish country, I feel like this app speaks directly to my needs, explaining the grammatical rules of each tense clearly but not dumbing it down and not letting you progress until you get nearly every answer right. Verbs are such a fundamental part of the Spanish journey and so many resources lack this teaching tool. This app has already helped me process with tenses I’ve had difficulties understanding and verbs I find hard to remember how to conjugate. I highly recommend this app to anyone who wants to nail and understand the most important piece of learning Spanish. The interface is simple and beautifully designed. Learning is step-by-step, super organized, starting with highest-frequency tenses and progressing logically.
Mini-lessons are concise and clear. You learn regular conjugation rules THEN they guide you through stem changes and irregulars in subsequent lessons, which is super grounding and accelerates your learning.
Beautiful, clear conjugation charts for quick reference. Large number of verbs. The quiz customization lets you focus on exactly what you need, and if you’re not sure what you need, the app tracks your progress with each tense and provides a link right there to quiz yourself on that content.

Best learning tool on an app
I have several apps & online courses ( some costing a fortune too). I have found this app the most encouraging to learn Spanish. I feel I have moved on with my learning so much already ( & still have a VERY long way to go). The app helps it all make sense. It has even helped when I’m using other apps, as I remember what I’ve learnt from Ella verb to apply it. The fact you can try it free initially is great. I was looking for a Spanish verb app that would explain and quiz on verb forms in an orderly fashion, and Ella is by far the best one of the dozen or so I tried.
The app is well organized, the verbs are well explained, and the interface is friendly and easy to use. The price of year’s subscription is very reasonable, and the interactive quizzes make it both challenging and fun to learn conjugations.

Best Spanish grammar app yet
I don’t write reviews, but this app forced my hand. I’ve tried so many apps and websites (so many) wanting to learn Spanish, but all the ones I have found I either have to pay for (I’m a broke college student so, no way) or they would only teach me basic words and not any grammar or syntax to understand how to form full sentences. Instead, this app starts you with the basics so that you can really learn the language. So, if you want to learn conversational Spanish for free, this is definitely the app to get.Show lesslileads
Almost Perfect
I’ve been looking for an app like this for years. My Spanish has always been stunted by me only being able to conjugate in the present and some sometimes the past. This app actually teaches me within minutes the proper way to do things. I’ve tried books, videos, you name it. It is well worth the money. Ella Verbs is the only thing that has worked for me the best. The only complaints I have are that I wish there was an option to leave the answer on the screen longer, and that you could miss 2 questions instead of one on the 30 question tests. I understand the tests are to make sure you know before advancing, but I feel like one question is a bit too much, especially when there is a slight typo sometimes. I had been looking for an app that would solely focus on verb conjugation drills, but still have some extra learning features like tracking your weak points for review. This app does exactly what I wanted and has a nice looking, intuitive interface. Additionally the developers are very friendly and responsive to feedback. Five stars!!Show lessJohn Red
