A lot great some really annoying
Overall I love this app, such a variety of choices to help strengthen my faith. The content is excellent . My biggest complaint is the way the actors who read some of the parts speak them with an extremely annoying fake foreign accent. I mean, why would they portray Jesus as speaking English with a fake foreign accent. There was no English during that time. I don’t mean to diminish the actors for their contribution but please just speak English without a fake foreign accent. One more small request would be to allow audio playback to have adjustable speed. Thanks for providing this content
Also, I can’t believe people expect this extensive app to be free. I understand I am very fortunate that I am able to pay the subscription cost and I know all can’t but it’s certainly not free to develop and produce all of this information. In an ideal world there would be plenty of people donating enough money to offer it for free but that’s not reliable. I prayed
I haven’t opened the app yet. Recently I’ve been going through a tough time with the relationship I’m in. I’m 18 years old and I was raised Christian. Religion is something I’ve struggled with through out my short time here on earth but I’ve always known god was real. Recently my partner and I have hit a road block in our relationship and it’s my fault, my doing. I decided to pray, I prayed for forgiveness and I even prayed for that today but I also asked him, if it’s his will forgive me, if it’s his will allow me to have a second chance, you promised me love from the moment I was born. I promise you this, regardless of the outcome, I will be closer to you, I will choose you, I will love myself as you chose to love me. Then I started watching the videos of Cliffe Knechtle, I found them inspiring. Then I prayed again, and said thank you lord. Then I saw the ad for this app with the man who plays Jesus in the The Chosen, and instead of skipping the ad, I listened and what hit me the most was a part where he said, “Come on, let’s come close to God.” And I chose to download this app because I made a promise.Show lesskandykate111

Prayer
It is wonderful to pray and read scripture in this blessed app. Especially to do so with the calm voice of Jonathan Roumie or the actor that plays the Savior in the hit series The Chosen. I love that show and how the portray Christ with a sense of humor I have not seen shown before or since it began now 4 seasons ago. I am looking forward to seeing the ending of thus new fourth season. I’m currently binging Jesus as they say to remember all the plot that came before in preparation for the showings on March 28-30. You can see the whole season in many theaters around the world, but I know at least in the US those days just before Easter Morn are set aside for that re-release into theaters. I appreciate them doing that for I missed it the first time or at least I watched the first 1-3 episodes and then got sick and could not come to the rest. I invite you all to come to the theaters across the US at least, and join in a celebration. It is not just for Christians either, but anyone seeking a good, clean, and very comical new side to the scriptures. And great storyline might I add.Show lessrkuhncat
Needs to be fixed
I want to give this a 5 star rating but I am unable to get any help from their support. I bought a subscription after my free trial and now my routines won’t load. I just get a screen with gray boxes that are continually trying to load. The routines were quite a selling point for me. It kept me focused during my prayer time and any other time I listen to the app. But now I have to go individually searching for what I want to every single time.
This is NOT safe to be doing while I’m driving. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my the app several times, deleted other apps I thought might be interfering, deleted my account and created a new one, made sure the software is up-to-date on my phone. I contacted their Support twice only to receive a message saying that they are overwhelmed and trying to get to everyone.
I have a feeling I’m not the only one who this is happening to. I find it interesting that it worked during the free trial and then I bought a subscription and that feature doesn't work. Hopefully they can get some help without raising the price to spread the word of God.Show lessKT042410

I have never written a review for anything but I feel compelled in this case. It helped me, a covert to Catholicism from (an atheist after a horrific charismatic/Pentecostal childhood), to completely revamp my prayer & sacramental life. I had drifted away from the faith for several years b/c I was confused/frustrated by the church. Not sure how it all came together but it did. I found a Latin Mass parish, went to confession & am back on track with Sunday Mass (& more). On the app: The Divine Mercy chaplet w/ J Roumie every day & the rosary in Latin every evening. IMHO: the Lent challenge is worth the price of admission. I bought Fr Cisczak’s book (which the Lent Challenge is based on) & I highly recommend it. The gems in addition to The Lent Challenge are Caveziel’s reading of “The Imitation of Christ” & Sr Berneice who reads part of the Pray 40 challenge. I love her! Hope the developers will consider giving her her own bandwidth. She has a lot to teach us. I’m now moving into the Surrender Novena. A small note: this app tends to crash a lot, but that will probably unkink itself with subsequent updates. More Audio Books Please! And Play All Option.
I'll start by saying what a wonderful amazing app this is and I will continue to recommend it to everyone. One of my favorite features this app offers are the audio books. I think it is important to have the word of God playing even as you rest. I wish that there was a PLAY ALL option for ALL of the audio books because only some of them have this feature. I really hope this gets added soon since you can only listen to one chapter at a time and they are only 3-5 minutes long. I also pray they add more audio books so that I don't have to find different sites that have certain books available. It would be very nice to have all the audio books available in one place especially since this app isn't free. I'm on my second year subscription and would just like to see these things addressed. Thank you for your wonderful app and your employee, Tina. She was the best! Tina was so helpful, patient and kind when I was so frustrated that I think about six months I was trying to get back on with Hallow. Even working with my tech person at St. John Neumann,Sunbury, Ohio. Jackie couldn’t get on either until just this past week. She worked with Tina a few times too! Such a hassle!!! Tina is a gem! That is why we gave the five stars, and of course the beautiful offers that hallow has. Quite a few of my friends won’t even try because it is so very difficult to subscribe. I had tried since the offer after lent for 20% off cost special.
My husband missed praying together with the app and couldn’t get it to accept, etc. I was up to close to 172 and then it would start all over.
I don’t sound like a very kind person, but I am! I would like to say about Tina: kind, loving, caring, patient, passionate and compassionate. I wanted to give up and she encouraged me to persevere. She is amazing, awesome,very faithfilled, positive and on and on the accolades are for her! May Jesus bless her 100 fold! Thank you so very much for listening.
