  • Reliable, simple and great customer service!

    I’m shocked reading some of the negative reviews. I have been using this now for 3mo this while traveling Europe (usually solo with my 4 young children). So reliable service was a high priority for me as we have already traveled to 12 different countries. I have had amazing service all through central and Eastern Europe, even in very remote spots. When service was poor, I was usually able to retrieve it after driving a few miles (as we are doing a lot of road trips).
    Data is simple to reorder- I am using exclusively pay-per-GB and do seem to go through it fairly quickly when my gps is running (as assumed). In the future I may try the monthly unlimited but this plan now is so reliable I’m going to stick with it for the remainder of my trip.
    Customer service is amazing, friendly, helpful and very proactive!
    As a family we now have 2 Solis Lites with the travel cases. They are lightweight, easy to pack, easy to put into purse or even pocket and we have now used both in about 17 countries combined!
    Would recommend Solis to family and friends..10/10.

  • Software update

    This was a nearly perfect option for at home WiFi needs. I used to be able to keep all my devices connected. However, after Solis made a required software update, every time a device is idle for a brief period I have to “reconnect” to the hotspot which is aggravating as it not just causes interruptions, but I’ll use up a lot of outside data before I realize that I’ve been “knocked off” the hotspot. I asked Solis support on this so that it’ll remember my devices but they said it’s not possible. I think that this is a bit of a fumble on the developers side. Not that the service or help is bad, but it brings up a lot of inconvenience that I’m paying a fair amount of money to tolerate.

  • Scammers

    This is the first app review I’ve ever written and probably the last. I stopped using Solis wifi, not knowing that I was automatically put into a auto-renewal plan. Got charged 100$ , instantly unsubscribed and called “solis customer support” to get a refund as I wasn’t going to use the wifi(I moved). Was basically told to get lost, “we tell you that we automatically put everyone who subscribes into auto-renewal by default. What company does that??? Forces someone to be put in a auto-renewal plan and not refund them when they come to find 100$ missing from their account for something they don’t use. A sketchy broke one. 100$ is a decent amount nowadays in our economy. Lame company, lame rules, no notifications besides their ads. I legitimately feel robbed. Stay away.

  • Great travel companion

    We bought a Solis Lite after the raves from a friend who had just returned from traveling. We have been in four countries so far with three more to go and so far our Solis has proved invaluable. The internet is great. We have two smart phones and two tablets that we are connecting to it. We have not had any problems, it’s been absolutely wonderful. I had a question and used the live chat and the response was quick and my question was answered in minutes. We are so happy our friend told us about this product!!

  • Terrible!

    Horrible customer service and misleading advertising. It seems like they advertise that you can just use your iPhone and then you cannot. You need their device to what you need to buy separately. I thought paying almost $500 for six month subscription would be sufficient, but apparently you need their device as well. Then when you try to get a refund they ask you for an order ID and they can’t verify her order that was made on Apple. Apple won’t refund me and my bank won’t so I really hope that they read this review and finally send a refund for something that I never used and never will get to use because I don’t have their device. I am beyond furious!!

    I’ve used this app in the USA, Belgium, and the Netherlands. It’s worked perfectly every time.
  • Day Pass Throttled

    Beware Day Pass has a throttling limit of 1.5G (which is not specified or advertised anywhere by Solis). Once throttled service becomes unusable.
  • Awful - Scam

    I have never written a review but this makes my blood boil. DO NOT buy this product! The signal is blotchy, the data plan is ridiculously expensive. I had to work in a remote location, sent one Cad drawing over google chat and was already down 1GB, how is that possible? For your information you buy as you go or unlimited (note that even for unlimited your data slows down after 20gb or something, and when I say slow down it’s pretty much dead). I don’t know how they got so many good reviews. But trust me, do not buy this product!!!!!

    I have had this for over 7 years … it just works period… here and anywhere else … Buy one if you travel … you will not be disappointed
  • Excellent 4G and WiFi connectivity

    I’ve been using my Solis hotspot for the past 3 weeks travel in France and I’ve always been able to connect to a phone network provider or WiFi source, no matter where I am. I’ve even been able to pick up WiFi at my host’s house when her own WiFi has been spotty!
    It was very easy to set up and the app is easy to use. Great value, so glad I purchased it.
