App doesn’t work in background. FaceTime rings or app closes, data goes
Technically works but doesn’t run in background meaning that the app must be in the forefront constantly and you can’t receive an over-riding external input such as a FaceTime call. I had hours of blood oxygen data wiped (ie did not upload) when someone FaceTimed me while I was still sleeping. Also, the days download is just a screenshot. I call this a borderline scam because they knew people would practically use this for background recording and would want at minimum the csv data. There was no thought put in to the app making the Wellue product I bought to record nightly O2 saturation useless.

New software update worsened user experience for me
After the new update, the app started being all weird. When you launch it, it supposed to go to the screen where it lists all of your devices. Instead, it jumps right into the VisualBeat (EKG) device while I’m not even wearing it. I’m wearing the ring (O2). I have to reboot my phone to get to the main screen where you can choose your device.
Then, all of my historical data was cleared off of my phone. Are we supposed to subscribe to Wellue’s storage cloud in order to save stats gathered from my devices so we can look at historical data to ensure that the lifestyle changes I’m making is improving my heart health? I’ve done drastic things in an effort to improve my heart health, but now I can’t see if it’s making a difference anymore as ALL my data that should be stored on the phone is GONE.
I can literally see my heart rate increase while writing this. Made so much drastic changes in my life to lose weight and improve my heart health, but seems like my monitoring tools is helping create more stress.

Babytone heart monitor
We use it to hear our Sons heartbeat. It is very easy to use. Having this has been great as we had a placental abruption and every now and then we check on the baby to see how he is doing! This helps calm my nervous just hearing his strong heart beat! I do wish the app recorded over Bluetooth the sound. Rather than me having to hold my phone next to it.

Nice device and app but...
The ring is an amazing device. love it! And the app is not bad, however I rated it 3 stars because there is room for significant improvement.
1. Have the chart show you the time when you have your finger on it.
2. In the stats, show how many times it buzzed. Also, now when it buzzes you show a little triangle in the map. It would help to also have a vertical line that spans all the charts.
3. The motion graph is barely visible. I think it would be better to have it plotted on a logarithmic axis. This way small motions will be better visible.
4. The app should ask for the name of the user at initial setup. Then when downloading the data it should ask if this data was for the user. If no, it would store it under guest. If yes it would store it for user. This is the way Kardia does it for the ECG and it’s great. Alternatively allow adding users.
5. When entering notes provide a larger text box with a few lines.
6. Get rid of the splash screen. Seriously. This is really annoying and I already have your device. If you must have it for people who randomly downloaded your app then at least have it disabled once a device has been paired the first time.

Basics but so much room for improvement
The app properly syncs with and displays data from the ring o2 pulse oximeter as expected. It is reliable in terms of finding, connecting, and automatically downloading new data from the device. By that metric, it does what it should do.
A lot of room for improvement.
Start with the opening screen, an ad for Wellue products where I have to click “skip” after a 5 second countdown. I already bought your products. Why is a health app acting like a freemium video game?
Options for viewing the data over time are limited, leaving the user reliant on third party solutions. The data export process is effective, but clumsy. A dozen clicks to save a csv file for later analysis.
The app needs to integrate with Apple Health, but the company says Health doesn’t accommodate the frequency of O2 measurements that the device collects. Perhaps they could distill the data down for compatibility? Having to use a third party solution is inconvenient for me, and impossible for most.

Great app. Except 1 thing
We really like the O2 Ring and App for our child. But, the app does not rotate. So when having the IPad charging overnight, the app is upside down. Please fix.
good design and easy to use
Pleasantly surprised with the quality of the device and the app. Very easy to use and comfortable to wear. The app works well and has a polished look and feel.
The data seems accurate as I can easily see the difference between a good nights sleep and restless nights. I’ve already gained some insights into my sleeping habits.
I’ll repeat the only common complaint which is lack of integration with Apple Health. Not a deal breaker though and still worth the full five stars for a quality app.

The app works with Apple Health now
Great app, easy to use
Has excellent options and never had a problem connecting.
The csv export feature is fantastic! The only feature I would ask for would be HealthKit integration support so other apps can read the O2 and heart rate readings

Effective and open
Unlike some other vendors such as AliveCor, this company allows me full access to the raw data from the app and does not require that I create an online account with them to provide them with access to my private information.
With my CheckMe 02 device this app provides a simple and basic functionality and at least initially it works well for me. Onboarding the device over Bluetooth was very simple to do and worked immediately without any problems.
The sync with my device on waking in the morning was simple and automatic.
As an app developer myself I can see some rough edges in the UX (the button for swapping between graph views looks like a page curl and is a confusing visual skeuomorph that would be better changed to a simple button or segmented control) and the lack of iPad support and support for landscape orientation is disappointing, however the effectiveness and simplicity of the app coupled with the vendors open data policy means that this app delivers everything I need and so I give it a 5 rating.
However I am so impressed with this app that I’d encourage the developers not to worry about those UX niggles but to invest in the stability of the app for those users having problems with various devices, its more important to focus on those things than additional features at this point. I am really, really, impressed both by the physical Checkme 02 product and the app and want this company to succeed and go from strenght to strength.

Thanks for your support! We will continue to do it better as we can
Nice app but it is missing Apple Health intergation
It is a nice app, easy to use and intuitive interface. However, it is missing Apple Health integration. Another item I would consider improving is multi user support. In current implementation you may pair the device with multiple phones, but every phone will get a copy of the whole history of measurements, stored on the device. Would be nice to be able to pick the ones you want to load.
