It’s good but needs to be better
I’m currently logging into this app around 5-10 times a day (I’m a new convert to solar & batteries). So many features and controls are missing for those that want extra control. I agree with so many of the other reviews on here. I really think it’s now time for the developers to include AI and machine learning to cut down on the amount of time I have to spend calculating and altering settings to get it to work well with my Octopus Agile dynamic pricing rates. Maybe someone on here wants to write me some software to integrate Octopus with LUX.

disable grid export
Once you understand the sampling and delay on the sensors then It is a really useful app.
Only comment is that the help/user guides could be more accurate/helpful/up to date.
I am trying to disable export to grid but I don’t see that setting despite it being in the user guide.
On local connect I only see “grid sell back” ..but there is no info on that.

Complicated, not user friendly
I accidentally deleted my user profile, and it is nearly impossible to log back into the app.

A few things:
1- it’s April can we please get rid of Christmas decorations
2- Unless you actively go back to opening system selection screen and re-select your system the data will not update.
3- it frequently glitches and you have to log out and then force quite the app to get it working again
4- the data isn’t live it’s got a massive lag of a good few minutes
5- the system settings have a poor interface that 20 mins and a whiteboard could make better.
6- the data display isn’t intuitive or easy to understand. I’ve been looking at it for 4 months before I realised half my array wasn’t working from an install error.
Given how much the system costs having the main interface app so poor is really unacceptable. Especially given that it’s accessed and checked multiple times a day. Please get it sorted!!!!!

Good app but problems
New installation so just started using app, the info on the app is excellent but every time you have to refresh it as the data does not update. Except the app doesn’t refresh unless it is shut down and reopened. This is such a nuisance every time.
The text is very faint just change it bold so easy. This settings page is not user friendly.
The tabs on the bottom of the screen are almost invisible because the data overwrites them. Lux Power is a great piece of kit pity about the app. Please fix the app.

Could be so much better
App gives good info, but it doesn’t refresh data well if at all. As other reviews point out you end up having to quit app and relaunch or hit back and select your installation again. This should be a fundamental fix that I can’t believe is difficult, which may indicate the knowledge of the app creator. If it’s possible to refresh every free seconds please just do it.
What’s missing here is a clear calculation of what your net grid usage saving is. There a grid import value, there’s a PV generation value, a battery charge value. Take all of those and you should be able to identify of the total consumption, how much came from grid and how much didn’t. It’s just missing the clarity.

Better but still improvements to be made
The latest version is a big improvement as every time you refresh the app it now gets immediate values from panels, better, consumption and export rather than poll data from 5 mins ago. However when you drag down to refresh it appears to do nothing - 3 seconds or so before the spinning logo appears, showing that something is happening. The wait itself isn’t a problem, as up to date info is much better, but the spinning logo really needs to appear immediately so you know something is happening.
The issue with needing to log out and log back in every few hours is still there though. If you don’t, it just won’t pull back any data from the system

Really, really good
I’m very pleased with this app. My only real complaint was that I had to close it down & reopen it. Today’s update has fixed that and has included a date and time stamp. It now provides almost real-time data. Excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a perfect example of a functional app that does what it should do but is an absolute nightmare to use. There are lots of additional manual steps needed that shouldn’t be necessary in an app like this, considering this is an app you’ll use daily it should really be a bit more user friendly.

Decent app for providing a summary of my system and allowing changes to some settings.
A couple of bugs however, the main one being that it frequently fails to refresh when you pull down or when you open the app when it has been open in the background. You have to force close the app and reopen it to get an accurate view.
