Bots galore

I’ve been using this app for 2 months now and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of real users. There are a lot of profiles that pop up with no “about me” section filled out and only one bad quality picture uploaded or none at all.
Moreover, don’t fall for the “I can’t see who likes me so send a message instead”; that’s the app developer’s way of getting people into spending money on a subscription to be able to send more messages to seemingly active/real profiles. Before getting the subscription I would receive several likes per day but when I opted for the paid subscription all those likes mysteriously disappeared and the number I received thereafter dropped significantly.
You’re better off using IG or some other popular social media to meet other vegans. Heed my advice: don’t pay; it’s not worth it.

Update: my monthly membership expired and suddenly I’ve started getting plenty of likes again (which are now hidden).
There are still not many verified users so I still highly recommend skipping this app; it’ll only take up storage space on your phone.

Response from developer

Hi there! Sometimes this happens when an user gets likes from profiles that are then deleted by the owner or by the team that identifies fake profiles. We encourage users to try out the Teleport feature or change the distance filters to find more users who may be compatible with you, as the number of users can depend on the location :) We also have an AI system and an in-person team working on identifying or blocking fake profiles. Most of them get blocked automatically, but unfortunately some do require us to manually identify and delete, so that's why we encourage users to report, so we can find them more easily - Jean from Veggly.

Poorly designed app

Terrible UI design - I second the comment made about it being poorly designed, that’s the main reason why I wouldn’t subscribe since I don’t believe the money would be used to reinvest in the app, it’s been years with the same issue of peoples ages not updating and the poor design of the app in general. The sections which shows the blurred image of who’s liked you also bugs out when you scroll down.

Good but

I wish I could use other locations for free as vegan/ vegetarian people are not so many and probably not in my city and as well the exciting ones might not my types…so it’s kinda impossible to find people here, as long as the profiles there are not active for so long…

Very few people, very few answers.

Very few people, very few answers. Ghost app sadly, even after paying. Join regardless, we so few vegans to begin with.

I need to join to like someone back

I need to pay in order for me to like someone back and start a chat? Doesn’t that mean only people with the membership can chat? That sucks

Waste of money and time

Waste of money and time : on paper it is a great app to meet like minded people but I feel like their algorithms been designed the way so others can’t chat to you unless they paid money too, I also believe there are many fake and inactive accounts there and app made to show you them more and push them more rather than show real people- overall a bad experience

The best vegan dating app

Really impressed with the features and options on this app! I’ve met a lot of really cool likeminded people that I never would have met otherwise!

It’s a Lemon

Two stars for effort, but unfortunately this Veggly app is a lemon.

Though it has thoughtful layout, and ease of use, there seems to be zero interaction between members, with the only interest coming from fake profiles.

The app is also glitchy.

As a final insult my login has lost connectivity with the servers.
I have no idea what that means, whether there’s something wrong with the developers systems, or for some unknown reason my account has being suspended.
It’d be really nice to know whether my profile still exists and I’m now missing potential matches, or if I’ve been removed, and for what reason.

I really wanted this to work, as the idea of a platform for conscientiously aligned people seems a really good way to try and find connection.

Sadly a great idea poorly executed.

Oh well.

Thank You

While this may read preposterous, there’s virtually one thing, and ONLY one thing, we humans may collectively manifest to IMMEDIATELY both halt and reverse “climate change/disaster.” And what is that, you may wonder: stop eating meat. Seriously. Not even if all cars and planes and boats ceased would be much help at this juncture. When I learned of this fact, BAM!, I became not just Vegan, but Plant Based. (Not the place to discuss the diff) One thing lead to the next, and well, why not meet a likeminded woman, since as we all know, coagulation amongst the righteous certainly can’t hurt. And time so ain’t on our side. As such, supporting even a dating app that stands for these values becomes exponentially more essential. Yes, anything and everything. So my hat is off to these kind Veggly folks, their site, their profound contribution; they are real life heroes.
