Works as advertised and have not experienced any of the negatives mentioned in some comments.
The app configures a VPN profile on your device and allows you to toggle the connection off and on. Once the profile is configured the app can be closed completely since the profile is configured in your settings it will always be on, until you disconnect manually or switch off with the app.

Right, let me explain what this is and what it does.
It is a DNS service provider and that is it! The only difference with this compared to other DNS providers is that it does not sell your search history!
So this just helps you get to websites faster.
Your ISP can still see your web history! Some of you think that this will prevent your ISP from not seeing what your doing. This is rubbish as it is just a DNS provider!!! Don’t get confused with a VPN provider that hides your IP address. Your still using your ISP IP address but not their DNS servers. That is the only difference.
If you want to hide your web history from your ISP you use a VPN provider.

ok lets be clear, this does NOT replace tunnel bear or nord vpn. those are for safer browsing. this app is for those who want faster browsing!
speeds up my phones wifi like a charm. it does slow down if you use a custom dns server in settings though. change that to automatic so this app can do its job properly. it uses a vpn system which normally slows ur phone to a crawl but this doesnt.

Seems to get stuck sometimes
I’ve used 1.1.1.1 on my laptop and really like the speed and security they offer.
This app usually works great, but a few times each day my internet stops working until I turn the app off and on. This is really annoying. I’ll probably stop using this app if it keeps getting stuck.
Update: after the most recent update, the behavior is worse. Loses connection multiple times a day. Uninstalled until the next update.

Nest app can’t login when in use
Can’t log into the nest application on LTE when using this service. Works fine on wifi. Confirmed issue by enabling and disabling service while using nest app. Sometimes it does work but clearly something is broken somewhere. Also find internet requests are slower, not faster with this resolver.
Faster mobile internet!
Firstly people need to understand this is not a VPN service despite its implementation so not completely private. Cloudflare is a DNS service and offers a faster domain lookup service compared to your standard internet service.
Been using this for last few days and my mobile internet has been faster! I used to have constant hangs loading websites in some congested areas despite having a good signal. This app seems to improve loading times.

Best of the best (one tip to the developers)
I’ve been using 1111 and 1001 on my computers and MacBooks the past year as my dns resolvers. I noticed this app finally came out and I am thrilled! Thank you guys for providing the best dns security! No logs and great encryption.
One tip to the devs : I think you could really give DISCONNECT a run for their $ if you allow the user interface to see what the dns resolvers are blocking / encrypting. I would love this app even more if this was possible. Developers for this app take note! You’ll be my go to for iOS if this can happen, otherwise I’ll probably alternate between 1111 and disconnect for dns on iOS.

Yes it works, but...
Yes, this app does work, but remember: if you aren’t paying for a product, you are the product. The data collected from users may not be personally identifiable (even though it always kind of is) but that’s the trade off that users need to accept as part of using this kind of service.
Works, but remember you can’t use any other VPN client at the same time!
This is an iOS limitation, not a Cloudflare issue, but if you use this app and activate the service, you can’t also use your own VPN client. This means that whilst your DNS is protected when the app is activated, everything else is still capable of being snooped upon or manipulated by your carrier or network provider.
