  • Annoying splash screen

    I don’t necessarily mind phone-only control without a physical remote option, and the app is reliable enough so far. But having to sit through a few-second animation of the Lasko logo any time I need to interact with my fan is pretty annoying. Wish this were reduced/eliminated.

    The app is good I just want it to open faster it takes so long showing the name.
  • Honestly more annoying than a physical remote.

    Having previously owned and loved a similar model tower fan that just had a dedicated remote, I bought the bluetooth version thinking it would be more convenient. The app works fine, it’s basic 1:1 functionality with the physical controls. However every time I open the app I have to wait 3-4 seconds for the annoying intro/splash animation to play. I don’t think it’s starting from scratch as it happens if I literally swipe over to another app and directly back to the Lasko app. If I haven’t opened it in a day or so, the fan can be finicky to reconnect unless I manually kill the app and relaunch it (yay splash screen again). Sounds like a small gripe, but gets pretty annoying the more you switch back and forth in/out of the app. Imagine if every time you picked up the remote you had to stare at it for 3 seconds before hitting the button… It feels like needless friction.

  • Update needed!!!

    App restarts every time and sometimes it doesn’t connect properly and doesn’t do a thing.
    When it works it’s nice to have.
  • Poor connection

    Had this for a few years, but after moving my app lost connection to the fan. Now it has taken several attempts to get the connection back.
    - Unplugged the fan
    - restarted phone
    - reinstalled app
    Yet, still no connection. Sad the Bluetooth cannot be connected.
  • So disappointed ☹️

    The fan works great well …after I had my first one die on me it was like 6 months old but the costumer service was so nice and sent me a brand new one which is working great BUT…. The main reason I bought this fan was to be able to control it with my phone and this app is so frustrating I’m constantly having to reinstall it and restart it and it’ll work for maybe a day usually less and then it just completely disappears and I have to reconnect the fan to the app and sometimes that won’t even work 😑 who knows if this will even get there attention though the last review was from over 2 years ago and they were having pretty much the same issues I’m having and if I’m having issues now 2 years later so I don’t have much hope on this actually getting fixed. Sorry this is way longer then I wanted this to be…I never do reviews but this is just frustrating and annoying and ridiculous… I’ve done all the troubleshooting things and it’s literally the app that is the problem not the fan so maybe just maybe someone will notice this and fix it cause this fan was not cheap I paid more cause I wanted the Bluetooth option. So anyway I almost wrote a novel there sorry 😏 hope to hear back or atleast make an update cause I’m not the only one with this issue. I may end up just goin with another company if they can’t fix this .. alright sorry this is a rant now :) hope everyone who reads this has a great rest of there day ;) 🙃

  • Doesn’t connect

    Doesn’t have a night mode so blinding white.

    Restarts every time you open no matter what.

    Turned off and on Bluetooth on the phone and now gives the error with a typo “Application is requesting trun on Bluetooth” and to open settings. Bluetooth is enabled and on.

    Poor quality work overall. Says a lot about their company really.

  • App is trash, Bluetooth doesn’t work

    Only bought this fan because it had the ability to use your phone as a remote. And well as other reviewers have said, doesn’t work and will not connect. Wish I would have spent half the money for a different fan. Was planning on buying all Lasko fans for my house, but will not buy another Lasko fan again. I should have read reviews on this app before I purchased.

  • Will not connect to fan after update

    In the previous version of the app, it controlled my two Lasko YF200 fans perfectly.

    After this latest update, it will no longer pair with any fan. I know because I removed one fan from the app and tried to reconnect it, only for it to never show up and pair even though it worked just fine 5 minutes before I updated.

    I’ve reinstalled the app and installed the app on other devices to no avail. I held off on posting this review in the hope that Lasko Support would fix the app, but it has been 4 months since the update that ruined the functionality of my fans.

    TLDR: Do not buy a Lasko fan with the hopes of controlling it through this app. If you are on a previous version of the app, DO NOT UPDATE!

  • Randomly doesn’t connect anymore

    Bought window fan that was working well for a while. Fan still works fine but the app refuses to connect to the device after the most recent app update.
