You will stand outside your vehicle for 5min
7/10 times the app communicates fine with the transponder, but when it does not you're just standing outside waiting for the devices to communicate with one another—could be seconds, could be standing outside your car for 5minutes.
The message saying the "device is offline" makes no sense because how could the device be offline on moment but fine 5minutes or 10 seconds later ?
Fix your app, make better devices, this is NOT a free service. Paying to unsafely stand outside of my car is not what I envision as getting my money's worth, not to mention I am simply attempting to use the BASIC CONTROLS (open/lock)—imagine paying more to unlock other features just for them to also not work ?Show lessDeveloper Response

It now works with Siri, but you have to tell Siri which car to unlock even if you only have one car, then confirm it's the right car. You can say "unlock my [car name] but you still have to pause and then say "yes." This makes every command a three-step process which wastes a lot of time and effort. The same applies to the widget-- even if you have only one car you still have to configure it to use that car. Can we please just make my one car the default for everything? The locking is also unreliable. Often I'll send the unlock command and the remote will beep to confirm, but I get to my car and it's still locked. Or I'll lock it with the remote unlock system remote before I walk away and both the remote and the car will beep to confirm locking, but I'll check later in the day in the app and it will say unlocked and disarmed. This makes me paranoid and causes me to have to check the lock status periodically throughout the day.Show lessDeveloper Response
Hello It sounds like you may need to delete the app and re-install it. You should be able to select the vehicle once and it will save your selection. I’ve been using Drone Mobile in excess of ten years now. As a user it’s 5 stars. As long as there is cell service where the car is parked; it works like a charm. Geofences, vehicle tracking, operational alerts, start, stop, lock status is all great.
I gave it a four because they removed a lot of the account functionality through the years. So when a car is sold and you want to add the subscription to the new vehicle; you have to call customer service. The do a good job when they get back to you. However, you have to sit on hold for about 10 minutes, and then request a call back which takes a while to get. Once they call; they’re great. They really should either pick up immediately, or offer the callback with a que time for the call to be returned immediately.
Anyway, great product that works as advertised.Show less
