App player is broken — do not buy until fixed!!
Pause and navigation buttons work only occasionally and are completely unreliable. This is basic functionality in desperate need of a fix.tmm212
Happy to have it and frustrated
I am extremely happy to have Michel Thomas on my phone and I would not give up access to this app. I am extremely frustrated though because the developers have numbered the audio tracks with counting numbers but used the pdf from the CD set. So in the booklet 03.07 is cd 3 track 7, which corresponds to track 29, but you have to count up to determine which track to play.
Also the app does not save your place in the book.
Again I am extremely grateful for this resource. I really hope the numbering can be made consistent in the future.Show lessLucky_day
Still doesn’t work
After the update the app still doesn’t work—the tracks do not play at all. Seriously, get it together. I’m sad I paid for a course and will it recommend it to anyone.119190768
The app doesn’t work
The app is not working properly and now for some reason every time I go from track 74 to track 75 the app shuts down completely.
In general, the app doesn’t autoplay from track to track. It also doesn’t pause correctly.

My Personnel Comments
I have been trying to learn French for over 45 years. My wife comes from Mauritius and therefore I wanted to make her family understand me in their language.
Over the many years I have managed to communicate with all her family with the very little French that I have learned doing reasonably well but I wanted to do much better and speak it fluently. My reading and writing French was far better than my spoken French.
Since I have started this course my spoken French has improved substantially and I am now quite confident in communicating with my Wife.
I have decided to continue with this method of teaching me French and have decided to advance to the next stage of learning.

Simple and Effective
I started by upgrading my schoolboy French and Spanish and can now get by adequately in both. I am now in my sixties. A few years back I used Michel Thomas’ Mandarin to help me on a trip to China. Locals were amazed, as was I, at my ability to have minimal conversations. These courses, if taken as directed, in a relaxed state, really are miraculous.Show lessManhole without boomerang

Amazing when it works
I’ve learned a significant amount of Russian and now working on Korean using the Michel Thomas audio...but nearly half the time I go to sign into the Korean program, the app just crashes as it opens. This is extremely frustrating, having paid a decent amount for content I often can’t access. I love the content though...I just wish I could use it.

We love Jane Whightwick and Mahmoud Gaafal Jane is so encouraging and good fun , and Mahmoud has a gracious presence.
The first male student is irritating because he often mispronounces Arabic so it is possible to misunderstand.

Works well for me
I like this method because it connects Chinese words to English words - English being my second language, first one being French - . People speak SLOWLY and I have time to repeat. Lessons are short. I retain what I have learned which is a bit of a surprise since I am 77 years old!MichDesch
