  • Absolutely brilliant & comfortable!!

I love the way this app teaches the Italian language! It isn’t just word memorization, then sentence formation..
Instead, you learn it all together in a way that really resonates, like you’re learning it straight from your Italian uncle!
Learning to form sentences feels natural & it is so much less intimidating than other commonly used methods!
I love Michel Thomas!! It feels like it was created just for me!

Bonus points for allowing users to hear the minor mistakes his “students” (?) make, so that the listeners can still feel confident when they (/we) make a few errors as well!

  • Simply great!

App is great. Program is great. Relistening to lessons, I pickup subtleties I missed the first time. I am learning how difficult English is to understand. Switched to using an iPhone from my iPad and all my purchases downloaded flawlessly to the phone. Able to Bluetooth and learn while I drive. Fills my hour long commute with great brain learning of my Italian, German and Spanish courses. Thanks for helping me become multi-lingual with such a great app!!

  • Rip off

Purchased the foundation Italian course but the app crashes every time I try to use. I have written to the customer support but had no response. Do not purchase or waste your money on this.
  • Handy app

I love having the lessons on my phone so I can listen and learn as I am going places or doing jobs like washing up. It’s great being able to re-listen to bits that are challenging as often as you want. The way you learn words and how to build them into phrases makes learning a language seem straightforward and achievable and I’m amazed at how much I have learnt so quickly.

While it’s great having the flexibility to practise at my own rate, I know from listening to the ‘other students’ in the lesson that sometimes that comes out of your mouth is not quite what it is meant to be. Now I know a lot more about vocabulary and sentence structures there is no replacement for getting real feedback on my speaking from a natural speaker so that will need to be a next step beyond the course.

  • Crashes

Unusable and crashes after the iOS 13 update.
  • It just works!

I just completed the Polish Foundation course. This is the first foreign language course I ever finished. They are right - what you understand you know, and what you know you don’t forget. There were times I had to think for up to 20 minutes but I did remember the words the teacher wanted. When I got a sentence wrong, at least I understood what needed to be corrected. I spoke a few words to some Polish people I met and they were impressed with my knowledge of their language. I purchased the intermediate course to increase my ability to speak Polish.

  • Superb

So good it feels like cheating
  • Just give it ago.. 1 year on

Well I tried evening school and that didn’t work, and even at school I knew the words, but not how to join them together. Michel Thomas allows you to do this from the first lesson. Yes, you might have to rewind, but it clicked for me straight away. I am a year in, I listen to the CDs on the way to work, and then find myself reading the notes at lunch time. I love learning French now, and have become very passionate about going so. Give it a go 😀

  • Best language program available

I started with his beginners French course than tried many other free apps podcasts and online programs before purchasing Michel Thomas’s intermediate French course. It so much better than any thing else I’ve found.
  • Very satisfied!

I did the Michel Thomas Spanish course and went from speaking no Spanish to being able hold reasonable conversations while
On holiday in Spain, I even negotiated a rebate on a parking ticket - so was looking forward to doing the German course and I have not been disappointed. The lessons are constructed very logically and each one covers a certain amount of revision. Each spoken lesson appears to be short - I think the longest that I have encountered so far is 12 minutes, but like a class being held in an actual class room the time spent learning is longer if you count the time spent practising speaking each phrase. It is similar to most active learning settings and is a style of learning that suits me well
