I love this app!

This app provides 15-20 minute summaries of popular non-fiction (plus a few fiction) books. It is great to be able to grasp the essence of a title during a one-way commute to work. Sometimes, the StoryShots will inspire me to dig deeper and find the complete text. Although the narration voices sound a bit robotic, they are generally pleasant and easy to understand. I highly recommend.

Excellent app, great value for money and effective support

This app has a good and growing range of books and you can read or listen to summaries or (generally) watch a video.

Support for any technical difficulties is swift and efficient.

Would recommend!

Awesome App! My new companion.

As a lifelong learner, StoryShots has completely revolutionized the way I consume books! If like me, you struggle to find enough time to read, this app is what you need. The wide variety of summaries available caters to whatever mood I'm in or whatever activity I'm doing.

My reading experience with the app has been great, with its personalized recommendations and intuitive UI make it easy to find what I want. It's like the app knows exactly what I need—be it highlighting nuggets of wisdom, jotting down my thoughts, or sharing inspiring quotes on social media. The offline reading feature is perfect for my daily commute to the office when cellular coverage is spotty.

Being able to listen to book summaries while commuting, walking or doing everyday tasks has been such a big productivity booster. It feels great learning new things everyday.

I was oin the fence about whether I would find value here, but super glad to have got my lifetime membership. I now have access to insights from a plethora of bestsellers and it feels like I've hit the jackpot of knowledge.

StoryShots has become my daily companion on my journey of growth and self-improvement. It's the tool that anyone with a thirst for knowledge should have in their arsenal. Hats off to Farid and the Team at StoryShots for such a great idea and App!

Amazing app. Get Story Shots!

Ive been using story shots for a couple of years and
I’ve found it to be an invaluable source of knowledge with exceptional content. Ive used other book summary apps in the past but I much prefer this app. Also, I recently had a support request and they went out of their way to accommodate me.

Horrible Service

I read the description of “so many books” so I purchased the annual membership. 30 minutes later after searching many books I wanted - they had none of them so I asked to cancel my subscription (an hour later). Was told no and that “you can’t return a dress after you take the tags off can you?” Never been talked to that way from a company! Sad and disappointing

Second, we're sorry that you used our 7-day free trial and still returned to us to ask for a refund on a subscription that is up to 10 times cheaper than the other apps. We're a bootstrapping impact company offering the world's most affordable and accessible service of its kind. Per Apple's terms of service that you agreed on when you subscribed, you need to cancel at the latest 24 hours before the end of the free trial. We hope you revisit the app and reinvest in your lifelong learning.

Great blinkist alternative

Great book summary app with paid options and free ads option. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn or getting to know what they are getting into before starting to read a new book.

I’ve used similar apps for learning and this is the best one I’ve came across since its free and you have access to most features.

Ok summaries.

The summaries are better than the shoddy ones on Headway. But the app itself is weak. There appears to be no way to exit a book without scrolling back to the top, and if you don’t finish a book in one sitting the app will forget where you were (and even which book) when you open it again.

False advertising.

Never heard of story shots before.

Was reading an article on a book to see if it wanted to buy it. Said to download their app to finish reading the rest of the article.

Downloaded the app.

Then they offered me to finish reading the same article if I bought a subscription. Should have stated that originally. If they had stated that from the start, I wouldn’t haven downloaded the app.

App might be great. Their marketing is Disingenuous, and now I don’t trust them. No problem paying for an app. Huge problem with bait and switch advertising

Good for listening rather than reading books

Story shorts has a decent amount of books available. I can hear short summaries and podcasts and some infographics provided depending on the book.

If you’re looking to hear and read the basics of books instead of reading the entire things since no one has time, this does it.
