Exactly what I was looking for.
I was looking for an app that would run open on profiles but have trusted networks disable profile. This app does that. Then I found out I can change the DNS of profiles different from the config file. This I great because it allows me to change my VPN providers DNS to an ad blocking one but still have VON for all other traffic. Thanks. One suggestion. If we could chose which profiles would be used for which networks, that would be great. I would have a profile for cellular different than one for public WiFi. But other than that this app works great.

My #1 Go-To VPN App
I used to use the OpenVPN app, but haven’t gone back since using Passepartout. Passepartout is incredibly stable, quicker to connect, and easier on battery life. I use it for two main scenarios: for my DNS-only tunnel to a Ras Pi Pi-Hole at home and as a full VPN tunnel with Mullvad. Both scenarios run excellently with Passepartout.
I love how I can choose a specified region with my VPN provider instead of having to load in a bunch of specific OVPN profiles. The dev for this app has been INCREDIBLY responsive, helpful, attentive, and kind. I’ve been beta testing the builds from very early on and I couldn’t be happier with the end product! Easy Way to Remain Secure
This app is easy to use and connect to VPNs so that I can stay secure. It quickly and easily maintains privacy on public (and cellular) networks, and disconnects when on trusted networks to increase performance. It’s also much easier to use with the integrated Siri Shortcuts support.
Great VPN client!
This app is fantastic! I’ve used the built in VPN client in iOS for years. I always had to remember to turn the VPN on, even if my device went to sleep briefly. I set up Passepartout with an exception for my home network. It just works! Often when I’m connected to wifi network outside my home, I think, “Oh I need to turn on VPN”, and it’s already connected. I love this app!

Refreshingly thoughtful and well designed app!
I was kinda anxious about how difficult it would be to setup an openVPN client on my phone. My VPN provider provides their own app with everything set up, but I needed to add a new home VPN I set up myself. Was I going to have to fiddle with endless configuration options? Was I going to have to do a bunch of in-app payments to make it do both? The answers turned out to be nope and nope.

Definitely the best VPN Client for iOS
UI is very clean and straightforward. It does provide trusted connections to disable VPN in known wifi's.

UPDATE: The app now allows comp-lzo (see below) and has started integrating VPN providers directly into the app. There is now no need for multiple VPN apps - this one it all - perfectly and quickly. Very impressed with the developer. Totally five stars!!!
It does everything it says it will, quickly and efficiently. Not heavy on battery use. Only current issue is that many VPN providers use “compression framing” (comp-lzo) in their protocol which causes the app to connect but not transfer any data. Until VPN providers change that, they won’t work with this app. I can confirm that Mullvad VPN works great with this app.

Better than the official client
Siri shortcut integration makes this infinitely more useful than the official client. Thanks for such a well made and easy to use app!
Disables VPN on home network
Works GREAT. Went looking for a different app to use with my PiHole and PiVPN. I wanted the VPN to turn off on my home network (the official app doesn’t do this). This one does and it works perfect.
