Price History of RowedBiker

Description of RowedBiker

RowedBiker can make your indoor rowing workouts more interesting by connecting your Concept2 or WaterRower to workout games like Zwift and training applications like The Sufferfest. It works by emulating a smart cycling trainer, like a Wahoo Core, or a smart treadmill, converting your rowing power into cycling wattage or treadmill belt speed so you can enjoy the virtual workout worlds and training plans that are available to cyclists and runners. RowedBiker has a couple of features that make it easier to row with cycling or running apps: - Cruze and Power Reserve Modes Cyclists and runners can easily grab a drink or chat with the workout group. For rowers, it can be a challenge to grab that drink or type a message without dropping the handle and losing the peloton or workout group. To help, RowedBiker has a Cruze mode that temporarily locks your power to a certain level, similar to the cruise control in an auto. Use it whenever you need to stop rowing for a moment. You also have the option to "bank" power before you need it using the Cruze Reserve to maintain workout integrity. - Erg Mode Support Workout games offer structured workouts that move between different power levels. Erg mode automatically changes the Cruze set point whenever the workout game requests a new power level. If the game requests a higher level than your current rowing output, Cruze will withdraw from your Cruze Reserve while you ramp up the wattage. If the game drops the requested power level, you'll accumulate reserve power while you are coasting down. There is an option in Settings to disable or adjust how closely Cruze follows erg mode requests. Thanks for checking out out RowedBiker. • Amazing app: Zwift on a rowing machine

Thank you to the developer, I mention this app to everyone I meet who has a concept 2 rowing machine.
  • App will not connect to Zwift

I spent over an hour trying to get the app to connect to Zwift. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accomplish the task. I was able to get the RowedBiker app to connect to Concept 2 rower with PM5 monitor. However, the app wouldn’t connect to Zwift. I attempted to do this using both Android and iOS versions of the app. I just wasted 10 bucks on the iOs version which didn’t work. Very disappointed.

  • A well thought out app for rowing on Zwift

I absolutely love this app. I’ve been cycling on Zwift for a few years now so when I bought a Concept2 rower, I immediately started looking for virtual rowing apps. In the end, I found moving across virtual lakes boring. That began my search for an app where the Concept2 could output my power to Zwift so I could both ride and row in the app I like most.

My initial concerns were that my rowing power is less than my cycling power so I might not be able to keep up with the groups I like to ride with. Secondly, how to get a drink or towel off while rowing (I.e. stop outputting power) without losing the draft. This app easily solves both allowing you to select a multiplier to match your average rowing power to cycling. They suggest 30% which has been pretty close for me. But the best feature is the cruise control. It allows you to store up power and then use that stored power while you towel off, get a drink, or stand and stretch. In 1-hour group rides/rows, this is an awesome feature.

Thanks to the developer for a simple to use app with just the features we absolutely need!!

One disadvantage is that the PM5 can only connect to one app so you can’t use ErgData at the same time so your rows won’t upload to the Concept2 Logbook. I’m willing to go without that in order to enjoy Zwift as I row.
