Amazing app: Zwift on a rowing machine

App will not connect to Zwift
I spent over an hour trying to get the app to connect to Zwift. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accomplish the task. I was able to get the RowedBiker app to connect to Concept 2 rower with PM5 monitor. However, the app wouldn’t connect to Zwift. I attempted to do this using both Android and iOS versions of the app. I just wasted 10 bucks on the iOs version which didn’t work. A well thought out app for rowing on Zwift
I absolutely love this app. I’ve been cycling on Zwift for a few years now so when I bought a Concept2 rower, I immediately started looking for virtual rowing apps. In the end, I found moving across virtual lakes boring. That began my search for an app where the Concept2 could output my power to Zwift so I could both ride and row in the app I like most.
My initial concerns were that my rowing power is less than my cycling power so I might not be able to keep up with the groups I like to ride with. Secondly, how to get a drink or towel off while rowing (I.e. stop outputting power) without losing the draft. This app easily solves both allowing you to select a multiplier to match your average rowing power to cycling. They suggest 30% which has been pretty close for me. But the best feature is the cruise control. It allows you to store up power and then use that stored power while you towel off, get a drink, or stand and stretch. In 1-hour group rides/rows, this is an awesome feature.
Thanks to the developer for a simple to use app with just the features we absolutely need!!
One disadvantage is that the PM5 can only connect to one app so you can’t use ErgData at the same time so your rows won’t upload to the Concept2 Logbook. I’m willing to go without that in order to enjoy Zwift as I row.Show lessJwrogers12048472184
Finally a great app for my Concept2
I’ve been looking for something like this for ages. Let’s me connect with Zwift and gamify my rowing routine which makes me much more excited to workout. Can’t wait for your upcoming new features! Thanks for this!

Superb idea and works well
Really want to use my concept 2, but I get bored of standard cardio easily. Zwift is great, but biking isn’t really for me.

Great app, if that’s what you want
Well presented and simple to use...it works and after a bit of mucking around with the cadence, working out my 500m rowing splits as watts and making adjustments (all of which the developers have considered) I’m suddenly rowcycling. Of course, it’s up to the individual whether this is what you want...personally, whilst I love the effort, simplicity, tech know-how of getting Concept and Zwift to talk, it just didn’t do it for me, to the point of being a distraction. To be fair I do a lot of on and off water rowing so perhaps looking for more than this app was created for. If the developers could work with Zwift to put an actual rowing avatar on their platform on a simulated lake using the tech they’ve created, then great - until then I’ll keep Zwift for the bike and will continue to wait for RowPro on iOS...Show lessRoobdoom
