The 1.5 (Balancespring update for the Sandman Doppler comes with a myriad of useful and awesome features and customizations. This new version of the app allows most of these improvements and enables you to upgrade to the newest version of Doppler software. The biggest update is the addition of local control of your Doppler, which is faster and more secure than the cloud, but can be less convenient so we have a dynamic and automated switch between local and cloud control. It's seamless and super fast. Full release notes: We have improved weather accuracy with more customization options along with more screen and color customizations. We also have implemented Home Assistant and iOS shortcut support for more advanced automation. Doppler (Balancespring): -Local control support, server running on Doppler with secure key exchange -SSID, signal strength, and uptime added to Wifi status call -Customize screen feature. Set screen, set mini-display, set-dots -Home assistant support -Smart button webhook support -Rainbow mode -Fade-time mode -Remaining Snooze Time remaining mode -NWS weather modes for US customers. Note, if your closest weather station is down we don't currently have a failover method. We are working to add this. -Preparation for improved adjustable wake-word (not included in this release) -Preparation for Spotify and Airplay certification (not included in this release) -Alarms no longer ascend (volume) by default -Bug fix to repeat alarm triggering logic -Bug fix to remove offset from alarm calculations -General bug fixes -Incremented Firmware and software codenames from Pendulum to Balancespring and Bucky to Cyclops -Performance improvements App (1.5): -Added support for local control (ability for the app to communicate with the Doppler directly through your wifi network). Added an icon on the home screen to enable / disable local control. Added a screen during onboarding to help set up local control. -Renamed smart buttons to Automations -Added support for iOS shortcuts -Added support for webhooks in advanced automation screen -Advanced time settings: added colon blink, hide colon, fade mode, show leading zero in 24-hour mode, show seconds on mini display -Alarm settings: added an option to display the remaining snooze time on the mini display. Auto enable alarm after editing it. Store the last used alarm sound & volume. Set default alarm volume to 100. -Added new weather options for the National Weather Service’s real-time observed temperatures (US locations only) -Show wifi information in Doppler info screen (SSID, IP address, connection uptime, signal strength) -Bug fixes & other improvements

This update only works on Dopplers above version number 1127, please make sure your Doppler is online and then go to upgrade.sandmandoppler.com to update your Doppler to the compatible version.
