Not good for free read please

Okay listen. I am wanting to learn Italian so I thought this app was good for it. You have to pay five dollars per month for it though. If you go for free you get only one lesson. I was really bummed out. I know the people need to make their money and that is ok with me. But I was hoping for more. The first and only lesson was amazing I loved it. I love this app I just wish it gave me more lessons to learn Italian. I love this app and totally recommend it but you have to pay to get more lessons other than that this app was great.

Thank you for your time
And thank you for making this app.

Greetings, we are sorry to hear you are unhappy. For free version, only one lesson is free at this moment. If you want more lessons, you would need a subscription to PRO. Additionally, we offer a free trial of the PRO upgrade if you want to test it. -iTranslate Team

Disappointed

I think that this app is very disappointing. I mean I wouldn’t spend 7 dollars monthly to learn a language, would you? This app should be free so we can learn languages easily. It’s not fair to be spending seven dollars monthly a mont is only four weeks and there are twelve months in a year so if you use this for only one year it will accumulate to a big price of eighty four dollars.
And what, just for 1 small app? You’ve got to be kidding me! This app is a bad “educational” app.

Greetings, Thank you for your review! You can also adjust the language level you are learning in the settings of the app if you find it too difficult. -iTranslate Team

Cool concept, grossly overpriced.

Cool idea, was actually looking forward to switching up my learning apps and use this to learn something new and unpredictable everyday... except you get one day trial + 7 free day trial with an automatic subscription of $6.99 a month. Yeah no thanks. I rather just open up a dictionary and chose 4 random words. I’d pay one time fee or something similar, but to charge me that much every month? Crazy.

Free version a scam

I like this app, but it cost me £6.99 when I was trying to use the free app.

After a fortnight of using iTranslate Lingo it wouldn’t let me use the app unless I started a free trial of the paid app.

I unsubscribed from the paid app immediately, then after seven days it forced me to subscribe again. The screen was identical to before and offered me a seven day free trial, but instead it charged me for a full month (£6.99).

I feel cheated.

It’s a shame because I was enjoying the app to learn four words a day.

Not a good app

This maybe free but it’s actually $7 a month . Bad advertisement for this app they should’ve said that you only learn four words in one lesson is free. The rest you have to pay for.

Please add memory recall option. Very good app! Excellent, clear design layout.

Must add memory recall option for words learned, every 3 or so days [user choose this frequency].

Very good app for beginners, in addition to other materials. English speech needs updating. Learning languages speech are fine.

Not free

Since the last update, I can’t do anything without registering for the pro free week...

Update: whenever I try to do anything, the pro window pops-up, I close it, and it pops up again without hallowing me to do anything. This is only since the last update so I’m hoping it’s just a bug...

Greetings, we are sorry you are unhappy but the subscription is only for PRO, an upgrade for the app. The standard version is free. You could easily close the pop-up window if you do not want to use the PRO version and then use Lingo for free. -iTranslate Team

Not worth a subscription

I enjoyed the app for a few days until it asked for me to pay for the monthly subscription. I exited and now I can’t start with out it popping up to pay. I don’t mind paying a one time price for a little app to help learn Spanish, if it could understand me. I never got one day were it recognized all four spoken words. I know how to say queso! I had better luck with duolingo.

Something lacking

Review update - it’s a good app, I love the concept but I find the robotic voices of the spoken examples quite unclear sometimes. I feel it would improve the app massively if an actual person was recorded speaking out the words clearly, maybe with a variety of different voices, as it currently sounds like a computer sounding out words. I’m English and sometimes even I can’t understand some of the English spoken words as it’s said in an unclear way, with inaccurate inflections on occasion. the only other negative I noticed is i would like to be able to revisit previously learned words in a test format. You can see a list of the words but can’t seem to take a retest of them to see if you have progressed. Overall it’s a great idea, but needs some development. For me at the moment it’s not worth the subscription fee until those things are improved.
