Great app, 1 request

Update Dec 2024. The tracker lost its appeal as time went on and I knew I couldn’t use the data in a way that would be most helpful. For anyone trying to use this app to help build a program of habits and the ability to see how you’re doing over the year, it’s not quite there! I hope my feature request is added as I would think it’d be just an easy view mode using the data that is already there. Would be huge for 2025 resolutions.

This app works great for tracking habits and I paid for the premium lifetime membership because I thought it was worth it, plus 8 bucks one time isn’t bad and I love that it isn’t a subscription. One thing I’d love to see get added, is the ability to see a breakdown of the days that show how many you hit 1 habit, 2 habits, 3 habits, etc. Right now the habits are tracked in their separate silos, but for me itd be really helpful to see okay how many days out of the year did I hit all of my habits, most of my habits, or none of my habits. My habits are set up for health. 2 workout habits, reading habit, and diet habit. I’m usually trying to hit at least 3/4 each day, so it’d be really helpful to see the data around that.

Was great, but is broken now??

I’ve been using habit for a few months now to break some habits and reinforce new ones. It’s been going great for a while. I use the free version, and I mostly just needed something to note down when I do things that’s a little nicer than just the notes app. It’s been going great, but last I tried to check in I noticed that the summary and stats section was locked now?? I’m not sure if it’s a “free trial” thing or an end of the year thing, but nothing says why it’s locked and nothing says how to get the stats back. Another thing is that there’s suddenly more entries in the habit I’m trying to break than before. I know for sure I never had more than 5 of this habit a week, but suddenly in the logs I had up to 6 notes down, and several times?? I’m really not sure what’s going on. Maybe it’s because I traveled to a different country for the holidays? But that shouldn’t change my entries. I’m very confused. Before these issues the app was great but now it’s messing with the data I put in and I can’t even transfer it over to a different system manually because I know it’s not keeping records accurately. Disappointing.

Buggy

I’ve used this app on and off for a while because I liked the ability to change the habit quantity. However it is now really buggy. As far as I know, I have the latest version.

When I create a new habit, it won’t let me change the start date, edit the quantity, change the habit type. Literally all the features do not save after you edit the habit. Not sure what’s going with this app now.

hi, sorry for such a bug, please update to latest version 2.9.19. And Happy New Year.

What a beautifully designed and thoughtful app

I came upon this app after wanting something to help me track habits on my phone. I’m a big fan of Atomic Habits (a book that I highly recommend) that is life changing and this app is the perfect tool for something like that. It is so customizable in colors, emojis, themes and that makes it more fun and visually appealing to use. It also has suggested habits to help if you get stuck. I used to write my habits in a planner or paper but found it was hard to keep up because I don’t carry a planner around with me everywhere I go as much as my phone. This app is so much more convenient and because it has everything I need and I come back and use it daily. That makes it for it to be an effective habit tracker and builder. Props to the development team for being so thoughtful on this app. Thank you!!

The basic feature allows 5-6 free habits and the premium features allow more. I’ve been using the free plan for a week and I’m in love with it and am considering upgrading. They are also one of the rare few to let you buy lifetime membership for one price which makes me think of the old days when apps first came out. I prefer that so much more than subscription model I would later cancel when I’m on a budget. Highly recommend this app to build better habits and change your life!

Winter Arc Necessity

This app has helped me hold myself accountable in so many ways! I’m usually a lazy person but the feeling of completing the ring everyday keeps me motivated.

I love how customizable the app is and I love that you can also add friends!

Needs some minor changes

I really enjoy this app but I do see some minor problems that, if addressed, could make this app even better! The first and most major issue for me is that when you log your mood for the day you can only do so once. As someone who has a goal of tracking mood swings throughout the day this is not very helpful. I know there are other apps that offer this feature but it’s a simple fix and I’d prefer to keep all my mood/habit tracking in one spot, especially since I’ve paid for the lifetime membership. There are moments when this app feels a bit clunky. For example, why is it that when I’m changing what times I prefer for my Morning/Afternoon/Night that I can’t move the “Night” portion past midnight? There are other little things I’ve noticed but cannot remember at this time, and will make note of them if I notice them again. Overall this is an awesome app and I highly recommend it to people who need a little push! For people who have more intense mental struggles I may recommend trying another app first.

The widget is what one need to have their habit app working

I tried a number of different habit apps over the year, I did not go so far with any app to actually build a habit until I heard about this one. What made this habit app different is its widget, and yes there are habit apps with widget, but none of them are showing it the way this app does. I figured I need to overview my daily progress in a very convenient way so I keep stay on top of my habit list of all time. And to do that, widget would be the perfect place to do so without opening the app to stay on top. What I currently using is the list weekly view widget, it shows a full week of progress with a list of all my current habits. With it I am actually wanting to complete my daily habit because I continue seeing how much effort I have made and wanting to continue the progress which will helped me actually making real progress. This is my 5th day with this app and so far I complete 100% on all my habits daily and I was never able to achieve that with any other habit app over the year. Suggested this app 100% to anyone struggle following along with other habit app.

Good, but could have some improvements

Overall this works fairly well, however there are a few changes I would like to see.
- something is wrong with vacation mode. If I am only going away for a weekend, it seems there is a minimum time I can set a vacation (looks like 2 weeks).
- I’d like an option to update habits in advance. For example; if I have a goal of running on three random days per per week, or speaking to my parents at least once a week, I can set a goal to that effect for a Sunday. However when I go to tick it off, it will tell me ‘habits can’t be checked in advance’. Only a minor inconvenience but would like to see it improved.
- more user friendly ways of using charts/graphs. For example, I have a goal of being able to do 50 pushups. At the moment I can only do 20, and I am doing some everyday. I’d like to be able to have the app register as ‘complete’ once I have done a single push up each day, but then display on a line graph as the numbers increase. There seems to be a work around however it is clunky and there is no explanation.

No tutorial

How do you use this app there are no specific instructions. I wanted a app I could add what I did that day to keep track of gym and cardio and the only thing I could find was mood if I choose a mood it shows on the calendar and little black dots for other things but what are they ? I have to dig in the app to find out ! It’s disappointing what’s worse is no clear easy to understand instructions

Limited Free Version

You can only add up to 5 habits with the free version. Also I wish you could make a habit repeat multiple times a day, they only have options to make a habit once daily.
