Kills battery

Don’t install this - it runs in the background (doing what, I wonder?) and chews up your battery. Approx 20-30% per day on a brand new iPhone 14 Pro, even though I haven’t been using it.

Combined with the predatory pricing this app just feels dirty.

Great Tool

Base tool is easy and fun. I really like the light function, as I wear headphones when practicing most of the time and this helps. Price for the ad free version and extras is way to expensive though.

BEWARE. STAY AWAY!

Evil app. I have good battery health but every morning since installing I wake up to 50% battery. I charge it to full then unplug it every night. Low power mode recently does nothing to this apps background power usage. 12 out of the last 24 hours it is using energy. Compounding that with all the devices using this app for genuinely good intentions, I’m a day away from reporting this sham app. Anybody can make a click and have the ability to change subdividing the click as well as a dial that changes speed. Use something else.

Devs/ owners are smoking crack

This app charges $40 annually

The next one which is just as good if not better has a one time fee of $4.

Either both apps are owned by the same person and the price of the first app is priced so absurdly to drive consumers to “metronome pro” as an advanced marketing tactic or whoever owns this app never came down from their acid trip back in the 60s.

I’m so worried about accidentally ordering this EXPENSIVE service. It’s crazy annoying to constantly advertise and push this crazy expensive app. No way would I spend $50 a year for this. The developer responded to this review to tell me it is ALL about making money with ads. The purpose of this app is to generate advertising dollars for them. If you accidentally subscribe even more money for them. Keep looking.

Good if purchased

I can tell it’s a decent app, but only if you purchase it. The free version is annoying with ads at the bottom of the screen and if you select a premium option like “tap” it takes you to the page that prompts you to buy the premium version. That’s annoying. They should only have made the premium version available. Really should be two stars for the trouble.

Free to download not free to use.

There aren’t in app purchases, you simply can’t use it without signing up for a free trial of the premium stuff.

Updating to address developer’s response: Yes, that is how free trials work. However, you shouldn’t be required to do the free trial prior to using the limited free version. It’s a blatant attempt to get money from people who forget to unsubscribe from a service that they never wanted in the first place. It’s simply unethical and shameful.

Helpful for a first time band teacher

I just started teaching band. I have a rudimentary understanding of band as a whole and so this app has helped make me a better conductor when leading students in music.

It also helps the students to understand how fast we should be going, but also that we can go slower and work up to it!
