Version History of @Watch

1.3

January 21, 2022

This version introduces two new complication variants, both of which display the date alongside the Internet Time. On watch faces where space is at a premium, @Watch can serve double duty as both your date complication, and your Internet Time complication! Date complications are available in a variation which shows the date in Biel Mean Time (meaning it switches days at @000), and one which shows the date in local time.

1.2

November 8, 2021

This version includes improved support for the latest Apple Watch, reliability improvements for complications, as well as a redesigned UI with built-in settings. You can now enable “centibeats,” or hundredths of a beat, within the app. Note that centibeats do not display on complications. The “beat converter” now includes a button to return to the current time, and an issue where the last five minutes of a given hour would mistakenly appear as the beginning of that hour has been resolved.

Description of @Watch

@Watch brings Internet Time to your Apple Watch! Internet Time, originally proposed in 1998, and featured on many digital watches around the turn of the millennium, is a way of representing time as a fraction of a day. Each day is divided into 1,000 “beats,” each lasting roughly 1 minute and 26 seconds. Internet Time also does away with time zones, so you can plan your chat with friends elsewhere on the planet without having to convert times between your respective local times. @Watch allows you to add the current Internet Time to any watch face that supports Complications. It also includes a handy converter between Internet Time and standard time, for planning ahead. @Watch runs entirely on your own watch, contains no advertisements, requires no account, and uses App Store analytics for crash reports only.

  • Great!

Awesome! I love .beat concept and this app is straightforward and works. I would love it if I can set preference to display localized decimal time. I know that is against .beat concept but it’s more useful to me day to day
  • Keeping the dream alive

I know it will never happen. I realize the world as we know it cannot handle swatch @beat internet time. I feel like it’s the future and I’m thankful that developers like YOU keep the dream alive.

Thanks for making the watch app!
