  • Why be deceitful?

Must be ran by a record label because on the outside it’s everything you’ve dreamt of but just before you sign the dotted line they let you know the app is indeed $6. WHO CARES IF YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THE APP FOR FREE IF IT COSTS MONEY AFTER YOU DOWNLOAD IT? $6 won’t break anyone but I really don’t like financial surprises of any sort because it tells you exactly who you’re dealing with.

I would have purchased this had it been made clear it was $6 up front.

  • The app that does the social things for Apple Music!

Have you ever come across an artist on Apple Music and you wanted to follow them to get all their releases? Then you realize that Apple Music doesn’t have that feature? Well this is the app for you! MusicHarbor gives you all the social things that Apple Music doesn’t currently have. You can follow artists, you can follow labels (if you upgrade the app) and you can add them to your playlists in Apple Music.

I love it and think it’s great, so much so that I actually paid the upgrade to the pro version because I want to support this developer and the app. Five stars all across the way and I highly suggest that you get this app as soon as possible!

Thank you so much for the review and for supporting MusicHarbor!
  • OMG this app is amazing! It completes Apple Music

This app fills in the missing features that Apple Music should have natively. So easy to use. Just add the artist you want to track and bam it’s search tool pops up artist just as Apple Music would. And it even allows you to add the music right from this app into your Apple Music library. Soooo good. I’m sad I just learned about this app.

  • Finally an easier way to keep up with new releases!

This app has made keeping up with the latest releases from my favorite artists easier than ever.
  • FINALLY A Release Radar that Works

Been looking for an app like this for a long time. The baked-in release algorithms within streaming apps are great and all, but they tend to break anytime I choose to listen to ambient music for sleep. I wanted a service that keeps tabs on artists and releases I actually care about, which meant I needed to manually keep up with releases by combing recent updates online. This app not only does everything I've been doing manually for so long, it also takes out the legwork required to set up all of my favorite artists by seamlessly syncing with the services I use, importing everything all at once and allowing me to choose from there. Great service, nice UI and amazing implementation. Thank you for making listening easier!

  • Finally!

I tried to write an app to do this years ago and ag the time Apples music api stunk.

I'm glad to see someone has figured out how to look for new music by people I like.

My only slight complaint is that the preview audio length is too short.
  • Indispensable utility

Years later, I have no idea why Apple hasn’t purchased this app & built this functionality right into Apple Music. If you’re a big fan of certain artists, this is absolutely a must have. Opening MusicHarbor on Friday mornings is one of the my favorite rituals of the week, seeing all the new music released. It’s simply the best way to keep on top of new releases.

  • A simple service done just the way I want it

MusicHarbor is doing what I have wanted music streaming services to do for as long as there have been music streaming services—simply keep track of what has been released from the artists I follow, all in one place. No recommendations, no distractions, just the artists I care about. MH adds a ton of value to my existing streaming account as a companion app.

  • Removal of Concerts

Incredible app for tracking your artists new releases. The removal of the concerts feature is irksome—I bet it wasn’t used a whole lot in 2020 but as concerts ramp up in 2021 I sure would have liked the feature to stick around—and to replace a purchased feature with a completely different feature not related to concerts at all does little to soften the blow. Additionally, the remaining concert integration (searching SongKick one artist at a time) is really not a feature, just more of a small allowance for those upset by the removal of a robust feature.

Thank you so much for the review! I would like to add Concerts as a feature again, but I'm not able to, because the API I was using to get concerts information has changed some policies that prevented me from integrating it into the app in the way I as doing before.
  • Extremely Disappointed with latest Downgrade

It was an update but it’s actually a downgrade. To add the latest “great” feature, Follow Labels, Concerts has been removed. Who follows entire Labels? That’s completely useless! And now to find a concert you have to select artists, then select an artist, then select the menu, then select Search Events! Which then takes you to the Songkick website! And then it only shows you events for that artist! So if you want to see concerts near you, you have to then enter the city or cities you want to search? That’s a huge amount of effort compared to the old PAID way where the app used your location and showed you events for multiple cities within selected miles from you. So Concerts is useless now and that purchase was a waste of money! You might as well just download the Songkick app and save yourself a bunch of steps! This app just lost half its useful functionality and half its value. 2 stars because the Releases feature still works well.

The Concerts feature had to be removed because Songkick changed some policies regarding the number of requests I can make to the API. Because of this change, further integration with Songkick will not be possible. To try to make up for the functionality that was lost, users that had purchased the Filter Concerts feature will now have free access to following record labels. Although it's a completely different functionality, some users might find value in it. Following record labels was one of the most requested feature I had in my backlog so, although you may not find it very useful, lots of other users think differently. So I'm glad I was able to finally implement it.
