I like the news, but I can only read the headline because I refuse to pay for the Fayetteville Observer
This is a bait and switch app.
This app was presented to me with an offer for a trial period of 6 months for $.99. After the 6 month trial period, the monthly rate would be $7.99. Today I noticed that my bill for the $.99 trial subscription period indicated that the trial period ended one month from the date of my activating the subscription, not at the end of the 6 month and indicated when I activated the subscription.

Your app is full of ads, you collet my data, and most of your stories are just reprints from other news outlets. Now you want me to pay you for someone else’s work...I think not. Greed is becoming common and I refuse to give in.

You eliminated the e-edition without notifying the subscribers. Customer service is a complete joke. They will not answer the phone and take Two weeks to answer email and then it is snarky.

Fayetteville Observer App
The app is a must have to stay on top of the news as soon as it happens in Fayetteville and surrounding areas! Print will never be as fast as digital. However, the print is a great compliment to the Fayetteville Observer app!
What has happened?
I do not know why the Observer decided to change how the online version is delivered, but this new way is awful. The app does not work. It will not load, and the current method of accessing this news “paper” crashes as soon as it opens. Customer service is non-existent, so when our subscription is up for renewal, if these problems are not corrected, we will not be renewing.
