GW. Learning new astronomy
What a great way to learn about gravity waves. Love the app.Review
As a medical scientist as opposed to a physical scientist I feel privileged to be allowed access to this information. I am learning a lot and hope to continue to increase my literacy on the science of gravitational wave events. Thank you for making this available.Real Time Notification of Gravitational Wave Detections!
Love that anyone can receive alerts of gravitational wave detections. I even love the special chirp sound. The discussion section is great to get good recommendations of new publications and papers. Thank you for helping non-gravitational experts learn more about this fascinating field.Great App for Gravity Waves
If you want access to messages that the professionals use to discuss what is going on this is the app for you. You will get an alert 20 seconds after an event happens. Excellent interface too.Great way to experience GW Astronomy
This app provides realtime alerts and reporting from around the world on the emerging field of Gravitational Wave Astronomy. It allows one to filter on and receive notifications for event types of interest. I enjoy getting notifications every few days on some new event or observations. Especially fascinating are events involving neutron stars, since they are the most likely to have remnants that can be observed by other means. I have read practically every report by teams trying to correlate observations of neutron star events, and am always amazed by the different teams of astronomers working together to understand the nature of the universe. This app is perfect for anyone who wishes to experience real-time and understand this emerging field and technology better.Show lessFascinating GW App
It’s hard to believe you can get instant notifications on gravitational wave events on your personal smartphone. That we can detect them at all is a miracle of modern science.
I must admit however that much of the info presented in this app is technical and over my head, with numerous acronyms I don’t understand and technical data given that I cannot interpret. Thus, the app could be improved if there were significant descriptions and background info on GW events, the various detectors, the info presented, etc. Photos of the detectors for example and graphics would be super helpful.
Thanks,

That’s what change LIGO can detect between its mirrors and when it does my phone here on Grand Cayman tells me about it! A BNS or a NSBH or the ultimate BBH event at my fingertips, Absolutely amazing!!The steady rumble of the universe
Like distant continuous crackling thunder LIGO leves me in in stunned amazement of the immensity of the cosmos.
Like any background radiation you keep thinking there could be a pattern and just get hypnotized by the static.
As a kid in the 60s watching Trek, I never imagined that we would actually someday hear this.
Still in Awe. ✨Show lessAstronomy by a new method
It just amazes me that we can see the universe by way of gravity waves. Incredible technology adding to our knowledge and it’s great fun as well!Love it. Hope you add more features
Would love to be able to playback the real sound and see the frequency wave
