Wording of questions
So of the wording to the questions can be a little weird. And you sometimes have to read them twice to make them understandable. Or so my brain can get the meaning or direction of the question.
Exceeds Expectations – The Best Ground School App!
This app takes learning to fly seriously. It’s thorough, professional, and nothing about it feels gimmicky. Every lesson builds my confidence as a student pilot, and I’m so grateful to have found such a thoughtful, high-quality resource.
The lessons are easy to follow, and they reinforce what I learn in the plane, allowing me to practice at home and truly maximize my time in the air. The material is clear and easy to understand, providing real explanations rather than relying on rote memorization. I also appreciate the multiple teaching mediums—it’s incredibly helpful for comprehension and retention.
I had previously tried another well-known ground school but wasn’t happy with it. This app, however, has exceeded my expectations in every way. Highly recommend!

Promising Pilot Training App with Room for Improvement
This app has several positive aspects, particularly its feature that guides you through specific chapters as you progress. However, I have a few concerns. Much of the content seems directly lifted from textbooks, which is acceptable but not ideal. My main issue is with the video content, which feels like an afterthought.
I've used other apps like King Schools Ground, which focus entirely on video content - an approach I prefer. In contrast, this app's videos appear hastily produced, as if recorded on a cellphone or basic camera. They're also quite short, ranging from just 30 seconds to 2-3 minutes.
Given the price, I expected more substantial content. Another significant drawback for me is the lack of compatibility with laptops. I wish I could use this app or access its content through a website on my computer. That's a big con in my opinion.
Despite these drawbacks, I still find it to be a useful tool for beginner pilots like myself who are trying to learn. The app has potential, but there's room for improvement, especially in terms of video quality, content depth, and platform availability.

This is the best flying online training
Since getting my first pilot license over 40 years ago, I cannot stop striving to continuously become better. As such, I am a full subscriber to 4 online flying schools, and thus have the experience and knowledge to compare between them. My unbiased opinion is that Jason has created the absolutely best flying program, not only for student pilots, but also for experienced pilots as myself that continuously strive for excellence. The best online ground school
I’ve done three online ground schools just because I wanted to see the different approaches. Not to take away anything from the others, but this is by far the best, most highly produced and informative of the three. It’s so good that I have maintained my subscription for three years and go back regularly to try to stay on top of my game. whether you are an aspiring pilot or a high time pilot, this app is worth your investment. No question. I consider it an essential part of my ongoing training.

Hands down one of the best ground school apps
I’m very pleased with The Finer Points experience. I did traditional ground school and used this app to supplement my study. I just took my PAR and aced it and I attribute my success in large part to this app. Simply put, the best feature of this app is the “Learn more” button on every question, even on practice exams during review. For those questions you missed, it gives an explanation about the correct answer and is usually backed up with references. This combined with the spaced repetition review gives the user a solid foundation on aviation principles.
On the topic of practice exams, a significant advantage of this app is the ability to review previous exams, which again gives you a better understanding via the aforementioned “Learn more” button. I know the Prepware app for the PAR doesn’t do this. The ability to save old exams makes it easier to review questions and form a study plan around those you missed.
I would highly recommend this app. My only hope is the recently released instrument course is as comprehensive and easy to use as the private was.

Outstanding ground school program
This is an outstanding Ground School. Jason presents things in an direct and organized fashion that really simplified my ability to follow and understand some of them more complex material. I participated in two other ground schools before I found this one. I even took a college credit ground school 35 years ago. But this program just “clicked” for me. I passed my written with 98%. I can’t wait to start his instrument course. Thanks for helping to make a 40-year dream come true!

Excellent Aviation Ground School Program
I have used plenty of online ground school applications. I find the TFP to be one of the best. I love the way it’s broken into small palatable chunks and then weaves between short video presentations and text followed up by questions. I find it engaging to the user.
Moreover, I find the reminders for ‘knowledge refresh’ useful. It is so easy to get distracted and these subtle details help bring you back.
IMO, very well thought out. After watching Jason’s videos for years now I would expect no less. Thank you Jason and team!

Not For Pilots In Training!!
Currently learning as a student pilot and decided to pay for this app in full, as well as one other popular flight school app. This guy doing the lessons is speaking to existing pilots, and way over the student pilots head!! He seems so careless, chewing gum and just vlogging with a cell phone. It’s obvious he copied another popular flight school and is ripping them off. Feels very cheaply done, and again constantly assumes you already know a lot about flying. I’d never recommend this to anyone trying to learn to fly. I could only see this being beneficial to existing pilots needing to brush up on their knowledge, but there are way better options out there!! Very unhappy with this purchase and will always tell others to strongly avoid!! Huge Scam!

Great companion to the PPL
I used the ground school app throughout my private training: to prepare for flights with my CFI, to review knowledge topics, and then extensively to prepare for my oral with the mock oral feature.
The content is great and I am convinced it helped me be much more prepared for many of my flights. It definitely helped me save much more than it costs in plane and CFI time. The mock oral system is really good and my real oral felt pretty easy after this!
Jason is great and listens to feedback. The app is evolving quickly. I recommend it to everyone.
