Nara vs. Huckleberry

Great app for tracking all things for our newborn! After using a dry erase board to track feedings and diaper changes for our first 2 kids, we heard from our siblings they used apps to track all of that. We were told about both the Nara app and Huckleberry app. We used both in tandem the first week after we got baby home from the NICU. Because she was a NICU baby we needed to track everything very closely, especially feedings in her case. The Nara app was simpler and more intuitive than Huckleberry. There were a couple things that I never could figure out how to do it in the Huckleberry app, even after reviewing their Support documentation. We have enjoyed the Nara app for 2 months now and will continue to use it for the foreseeable future.

One improvement that could be made would be the growth charts tracking her length, weight, and heads circumference. The percentiles when input in the app, never matched up with what we got from the doctor office. Our baby was born 3 weeks early, so not technically a premie, but the percentile numbers never matched with the doctor’s office.

My go-to app for tracking everything for my baby ❤️

The Nara App is amazing for tracking feeds, diapers and my pump schedule! I love that my husband and I could sync our apps and use it to tag team logging our schedule. The ability to look at trends over the last 14 days was so helpful for figuring out how much our baby was eating from both the bottle and how much time was spent on the breast. I was also able to observe if these trends had improved over the last week, which was crucial because I was having trouble with breastfeeding early on.

Also love the developmental milestone function and the fact that I could track all my baby firsts with pictures!

The only thing I wish they had was a nicer way of exporting data so I could print out a list of my baby firsts later on. It would also be helpful to see more than 14 days of data.

With that being said, the whole app is free and so aesthetically pleasing, I really have no complaints!

Will be recommending to all my friends and family ☺️

Such good UX/UI

You guys are killing it with the UX/UI! My husband and I enjoy using this app so much. We also love that we can share our data with each other and that it’s linked in that way. This app is phenomenal!

Hate new logo update

We have loved this app for all 8 months of our baby’s life but they just updated the icon + when it’s the #1 app you open your phone for all day + night, the last thing an overstimulated parent needs is a 2x logo. Additionally I’d like to be able to see all of the baby’s morning wake times, which right now takes scrolling to piece together (ie Average morning wake up 7-7:45.) And correlations such as nap time to overnight hours slept (ie graph with total nap hours + total overnight hours to see if one begets the other.) This would require being able to note nighttime vs nap sleep. Right now it’s just “daytime sleep” but that includes the start/end of overnight sleep, whereas past the newborn stage sleep info you Google is separated into overnight and naps. This is a free app + I would pay $2/month to get more sleep analysis as it’s constantly changing for the first few years of their life. If any of these are features that exist now, I’d suggest a once a month pop up with the option to review any features you might not be using or didn’t feel applicable at an earlier age.

One less thing to worry about

I’ve been using Nara Baby for 5 months now and it only gets better! For mums with time-blindness like me this app is an absolute lifesaver! 💖 It feels like someone else is doing the mental calculations for me when the nap and feed reminders ping and bub is being grizzly- I know straight away how to fix her grizzles. 💤🥣🍼 Now we’re moving on to solids and tracking her feeds is fun and easy. I love how you can add if she ate all of it and how she liked it as well as filter out the history to just include solids too and see how many each day she’s getting. 😄 I can’t wait to see more hacks on how to use Nara Baby even more efficiently!

the BEST baby tracking app

it has everything you need to track both you and your baby, whether you’re pumping breast feeding bottle feeding breast milk or bottle feeding formula, it tracks it all and for no extra charges or hidden fees! it tracks baby’s sleep & diaper changes and also has a section for medications and milestones truly the best app you could download for baby tracking. it tells you how long ago the feed was or the diaper change it gives you options for what kind of diaper you’ve changed! i would recommend this app to every new mom

everything in one place

I never write reviews about anything really, but I decided to write one about Nara Baby. I am a new mom and before I found this app I tried a lot of different ways to keep track of things and it just wasn’t efficient. I breastfeed and keeping track of when I last fed my baby was a struggle sometimes because the hours go by so fast, Nara helps me track how i feed my baby (bottle, breast, formula, etc.), how long she fed for, how much, and what time she ate. I also can keep track of her sleep, which helps to understand if a nap is what she needs. I’ve also started tracking her diaper changes..I feel that it could possibly come in handy if she gets sick and the doctor asks me questions about that. There are milestones you can track as well and that’s nice to make sure that your baby is doing the things that their age usually does. You can even track your routine and vaccines and growth progress..I am enjoying this app because it gives me the peace of mind that anything i’d like to keep track of or monitor is in one place and it’s at my fingertips. I don’t think you could regret trying Nara Baby, the worst that could happen is that you miss an entry or decide you don’t want to keep track of things anymore.

Exceptional

I had been using a free version of another app with no watch integration.

After 5 minutes of use I was amazed, the ease of use, and the ability to track postpartum changes is fantastic. Being able to start a feed or sleep timer on my watch has made tracking baby boys day to day far easier.

I wish I had used it from the very start.
