Parents and educators, if you interested in developing your child’s number sense, this game combines fun AND learning. My four year old daughter keeps asking to play because the format is engaging and simple to understand.
As a teacher, I know the power of subitizing (knowing how many a group of objects is without counting, like the 5 on dice), and I know that seeing multiple representations (many different ways to see the same collection of objects) will help children get “pictures” of numbers in their mind to use for all future math learning.
My 8 year old likes this game for the same reasons, but he is able to play higher levels and develop math facts as well. One app that works for all levels (differentiation) is worth its weight in gold!
This developer definitely understands how children learn and play and uses that knowledge that to create apps that make children smarter in a fun way!
