I love this app, but a major glitch is making it useless.

Dear Simba, I love your brand, your beds and this app. You just showed to me how you care about your products and customers but responding to me and fixing the app. I’ll give it a go tonight!

Hi 0leate, Thank you for your feedback. We're very sorry to hear that you've experienced some issues with the app. There was a bug with sleep tracking related to the new iOS software update (13.1) which has now been fixed. If you'd like to upgrade the app to the newest version (1.1.7), the sleep tracking function will be working fine again! Excellent app

I used to use a rival app that I loved. But I tried this Simba sleep one and it has so much more information and actually helpful hints and tips. Makes you really focus on what you need to do to maximise your sleep. And does it in a fun and pleasing way.

Not compatible with watch

When I track using my watch everything is fine until the next morning. For some reason it makes Activity think I’ve been moving, exercise and standing all night. If I just use the phone then it needs to be left unlocked which burns the battery. The app itself is a good idea but not the best one of its kind.

Great sleep tracking app with room to improve)

Great simple app for tracking your sleep and understand how you can sleep at your best. The app offers some good tips to improve your sleep routine and offers some extensive knowledge around the topic too. I'm looking forward using it with an actual sleep tracker instead of using the phone's microphone.

Great App

Been tracking my sleep for a few weeks now and noticed a big difference in my sleep on nights when it’s warmer.

Brought a new fan for the room and can see I’m sleeping miles better resulting in me waking up refreshed!

Thanks Simba ♥️

Could be better [edit:new phone fixed issues]

Microphone has been stuck on after app closed requiring deletion of the app to remedy. App also doesn’t allow for you getting up in he night, which is not much use if you have a newborn. If you try to reset and go back to sleep then it only stores your first sleep session.

Edit to say this app now works perfectly on my new iPhone XR. My old phone was quite old so I’m guessing maybe had hardware issues. Thanks to the developers for your reply.

hey b3sty, Thank you so much for your comments and feedback. Sorry to hear that you had issues with your microphone, it's not something we've come across before but we will certainly investigate. In regards to getting up in the night, the app will definitely pick this up and show you as awake during those times. This will happen automatically so you don't have to change anything if the tracking / alarm has already been set. Alternatively if you want to change your alarm time or pause tracking temporarily you can also do that and the app will merge your sleep sessions together if you start and stop multiple times, so that's no problem. Who knew?!

So helpful to understand how important my lifestyle is and even the junk in my room is to impact my sleep!

Using the app I can see the my sleep has got better and I actually feel better in the day because of it. Honestly never thought the small things would change me so much!

Easy to use but...

Two things about the app:
Your screen is ‘on’ all night - hence the instruction to leave it face down. I’m not sure this is good for the phone if used every day over a long period
The results look ok but don’t agree at all with the sleep patterns I get on my FitBit. How can the Simba app detect who it is monitoring if there are two people (or a human plus dog) in the bed?
The menu to set it going isn’t very straightforward- you find it under ‘alarm’ whereas a link under ‘monitor’ would be better. When you do find it, you have to touch ‘start tracking’ on two pages before it begins monitoring, which is confusing.
Overall it’s a good idea but needs fine tuning abc I’d like to see its performance compared to other sleep trackers

Hey cmc575, Thank you so much for your review. We're constantly working on improving the app so your feedback is very valuable to us. In regards to the screen, you definitely don't have to keep it 'on' all night, we even recommend that you don't. You can lock your screen or even exit the app and tracking will continue to work in the background without a problem. If you have screen auto-lock enabled on your phone, it will lock automatically after a while depending on your settings. We're also currently working on full integration with Fitbit and other wearable devices, which should help with your tracking. One thing to note is that Fitbit, Apple Watch etc. track your movement and motion, where as the app primarily relies on sound analysis, so results can vary slightly. Once the integration is complete, we'll be able to overlay your motion data with the sound analysis to give you even more accurate results. We'll keep you posted on progress and please don't hesitate to share any further feedback with us via appfeedback@simbasleep.com.

Slick, simple, great to use

I’m new to sleep tracking but already benefiting from knowing how I sleep and using the insight to really get the best of a good nights sleep.

I’ve tried pillow but the graphics and navigation are a bit clunky, this Simba sleep app is far easier to both use and understand!

Using it has improved my sleep

Love this app! The process of tracking and monitoring my sleep every night has made me aware of more sleep quality and the positive impact it has on my life. I’m sleeping better than ever now
