Very useful - but no way to contact them about errors

I am gluten intolerant, so I am finding this app very useful.

I would have given it 5 stars but there is no way to contact them regarding errors. When you are dealing with intolerances that can badly affect people there really needs to be a contact option to correct mistakes.

Lucky the error I wanted to correct is not to do with alergins, it is to do with photos. They have used the same photo for two different pubs, the Mill in Kingston and O’Neils in Wimbledon.

Brilliant app

Love this app, great for when I am looking for a local restaurant but especially great for when I am away from home and need to find a restaurant. Easy to use too!!

Limited benefit

Was hoping that this app might have full nutritional information, or at least calories/fat/saturated/carbs/sugars/protein/salt like the Smartchef website has.

Trying to find “Heart Healthy” dishes when eating out in restaurants is so difficult and this info would enable consumers to make choices for them and be sensitive to their guests who may otherwise decline dinner invitations because it’s simply too difficult to find meals which they are able to eat.

It would be great if such a big corporate could do a tie in with British Heart Foundation to make it even easier to choose dishes that might follow the BHF suggestions for nutritionally balanced meals - these dishes do already exist! Finding them can be very difficult!

Pretty good but not perfect

This app is pretty good but it isn’t always that accurate. I love the filter system which enables you to tick the specific allergens you need to avoid. However, we tested it on a pub which we know does have its own very good filter system on the menu and at which we have eaten. This app showed nothing on their menu for someone trying to avoid dairy/milk and gluten. We know there are at least a couple of options on the menu which exclude these allergens but the app reported that there was nothing. This leads us to question whether a nil result (very common) for other eateries is accurate.

To exclude gluten containing ingredients from a dish the “gluten” allergen tab should be selected, not “gluten free" this should work in most cases. The allergen information is provided by the pub to the app in real time.

Fabulous app

Great app for collating all that you need to know in one place, able to narrow choices down to make it easier and faster to choose where to eat out when you’re alone or part of a bigger party. Great for when I’m in unfamiliar territory and don’t the area. Highly recommended 👌🏻

Fantastic and so easy to use

The concept behind this app is brilliant. It is so easy to use and makes eating out so much easier when you have allergies/ intolerances.
This is how EVERY restaurant should do it.

Useless

When selecting filter for allergies the resulting search does not produce any menus. Filter off shows menu but does not show anything that is actually suitable just that meal contains the allergen. Many meals would actually be suitable by removing or substituting items. Not a practical app to use when at a Restaurant.

Hi Bill, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback on the app. Sorry to hear that you didn't get on with it. We are gradually looking to find a way that you can potentially build dishes so you can clearly see where the allergens are. When in the restaurant it is best to ask the staff for their guide on the ingredients and allergens as this will be broken down in far more detail and they will be able to give you more ideas on how to break the dish down to remove ingredients you are avoiding

Clear and informative app

Used this app recently with a friend whose child has some dietary allergies. The clear information gave us both piece of mind. Highly recommended.

Useful for finding good restaurants in our local area.

A great app, really useful when I had to find a vegan and gluten free friendly restaurant when hosting family really useful to be able to view the menus in advance

Local menus

Excellent App having so many local menus with their allergen information all in one place. Allowing you to get directions to the venue whilst calling them or using the app to book a table on the way there.
