  • Airspace monitoring and quick flight planning have streamlined our workflow and become indispensable

The combination of airspace monitoring and the ability to quickly create and manage flight plans has made coordinating everything so much simpler. It’s become an essential part of our workflow.
  • improves the workflow

The integration with LAANC and access to B4UFLY services directly through the app has made our workflow much smoother. Approval reporting confirms that we’re staying compliant while also getting the most out of our flights.
  • This app has revolutionized our drone flight planning by seamlessly integrating live airspace author

I can’t believe how much easier this app has made planning our drone flights. Getting live airspace authorizations through FAA LAANC is such a natural part of the planning process. No more worrying about compliance issues - we can just focus on the job at hand, flying the aircraft.
  • Field operations have become more efficient

We can easily create flight plans on the web and sync them with the mobile app, making our field operations more efficient. This app has really streamlined our workflow, especially with the built-in LAANC integration.
  • Fast, Clean, Efficient

Free? Yes, and it offers exactly what a recreational flyer like me needs. The app doesn’t clutter the screen with unnecessary things and is straightforward and streamlined. The interface is bright, and the map selection is perfect. As a result, it’s very fast and efficient, which is great when you want to get out flying quickly and safely. The addition of weather info is also a nice touch, but perhaps the thing I like most is seeing the latitude and longitude location. I think this is going to become my primary flying app moving forward.
  • This app attempted to hijack my phone

Immediately after installation and opening the app it hijacked my phone and turned off my data/wifi. I was able to remove the app and my phone returned to normal. This app is a scam.
  • Program errors

I’ve been trying to had flight plans but I keep getting error codes. I don’t know what’s going on with the website but it seems as of that there is a major problem with it. These are the eros I’m getting. Flight Plan is not saved: Error getting /api/ flightproject/v1.0, HTTP status code 400

This area I’m trying to fly is considered an uncontrolled airspace. So I’m not really understanding what you’re trying to say in your email. As I just switched to AirHub portal and had no problems planing my flight.

    Developer Response

    1. The response was provided timely via email and included root cause (self-intersecting polygon) and temporary workaround. 2. The fact is that Avision stands for quality and invests enormous effort in building the product and securing proper certifications. This is the reason Avision is an approved provider of the official airspace awareness via FAA B4UFLY and FAA LAANC flight authorizations services.   Thank you!
  • $99.00 per month for 107 Laanc ??

Seems if you want to do part 107 authorizations you have to pay $99 a month. Are you kidding?
I guess it’s great for recreational flyers, but really why would I pay that for something that’s free?

    Developer Response

Avision PRO account subscription is $99 / year or $10 / month. In addition to part 107 authorization, PRO account features include the following: Commercial LAANC (Part 107), LAANC Further Coordination, Terrain Following, Structure Avoidance, Battery Estimation, KML File Import / Export. Thank you!
  • Stupid chargers

Need a premium for 107 LAANC requests. Don't use this app if you're like 95% of commercial flyers. Use Skygrid.

    Developer Response

While Avision provides a lot of services free of charge with the Basic account (including FAA B4UFLY and LAANC for recreational pilots), Avision PRO account subscription is $99 / year or $10 / month and includes premium features such as: Commercial LAANC (Part 107), LAANC Further Coordination, Terrain Following, Structure Avoidance, Battery Estimation, KML File Import / Export. Thank you!
  • Will not connect properly to Mavic Air 2

Initially, after the last update, I was able to connect to my MA2 and fly it through this app. Now, for some reason, it gives me gyro and accelerometer error. Please fix.

    UPDATE TO AVISION’s EMAIL:
Drone has never been crashed, dropped or otherwise mishandled. The drone’s firmware is up to date and the IMU and compass have all been recalibrated. The drone flies and responds just fine through the DJI fly app.

    Developer Response

Did the drone experience any hard impact or crash prior to getting this issue? DJI typically recommends firmware refresh and calibrating the IMU. If issue persists please contact DJI Service Center to further diagnose this matter and a proper resolution. The App only provides an advanced warning in order to help you fly safely. UPDATE: Thank you for the follow up and clarification. Currently, DJI provides limited support for Mavic Air 2 - only manual operations are supported with 3rd party apps. Once DJI provides an update, we'll release a new version to support automated waypoint mission similar to other DJI drone models supported by Avision App.
