To be honest
This game is great to be honest. I would just like the sensitivity 10 and above if you see what I mean, but in general the game is great
Yo can I use your game for gameplay
Pls
Kinda meh
I downloaded this game as a doom substitute, and while it did give me a bit of a scratch that I was itching at. There are some problems too. The hud: the hud is really, really big. And I put my hand on the top right to look around in games, but that’s where the guns were, so I’d have to look around with my finger on the bottom right. Which I’d imagine isn’t a problem for some people. But even then, the weapons also changed by themselves, somehow??? Also, the levels: They’re just copy pasted, cookie cutter. Not only that, some of them are broken. Like multiple maps kept ending even if I didn’t beat it. And there was one map that had a flying platform, that I’m guessing you were supposed to fly on. But it didn’t reach. So please. Try making levels that look or are different from each other. And don’t mean by slapping different textures on them. I mean just make new ones. Also instead of water being an insta kill. Make it slowly damage you while in it. Also as everyone says, please get the shotgun out of our faces. And make your own assets, man. I understand you were inspired by doom, but don’t steal the graphics. Be original, I’m sure you can do it :3

Good but
It’s a very fun game I downloaded it today but it has some glitches like I was in dungeon and I saw no path to get to the other side but other than that it’s a great game I recommend buying this (Also bc it’s free)
Could be better
Why is each level exactly the same? It’s like I’m replaying the same level over and over. The controls are solid but you need to be able to move the buttons around. My hands are small and I’m playing on an iPad. Trying to touch the center of the screen with both thumbs is pretty uncomfortable. Another thing, is that the controls invert after every level. And I’ve been transported to the “next” level after shooting an enemy. The game could be way better but it honestly feels like it’s part of this trend of games that are solely made to display adds after each level. Naturally the “levels” are less than 30 seconds long each. If they could clean some of those things up, this game could rival other FPS games.

Great
I love it but I know you are trying to be like doom so can you add the ballista to the game please and expand the levels and add enemies from different levels into others and be like doom 2!
It’s just doom 1993 but less
When playing the game I’d noticed that I was going through levels I’ve beaten before but with different colors and some of the sprites are just from doom 1993 with no differences whatsoever. The guns were alright for the most part but I didn’t like this games version of the super shotgun, it’s just in your face and you can’t see what’s in front of you, the enemies of the game only spawn one time in a single area. The enemies would never spawn together and they’d just instantly die to my shotgun so I never felt I was in any danger at all. I would just recommend buying the original doom game which is just five dollars, don’t waist your time here

Okay game
It’s an okay game. Not a huge fan of the controls though. Also to the person crying about Mighty DOOM, this isn’t an actual doom game you’re leaving a review on. The developers of Retro FPS can’t do anything about it.
Weird glitches
On some parts of the game it just resets you and puts you back to the start and these levels where you have to jump but you can’t but it’s probably just a glitched one but either than that amazing game but the double barrel takes up too much space so that’s why it’s a 4
Stolen Assets?
Honestly, I could respect how much care was put into this game to make it available for free… if most of the enemy, weapon, and pickup sprites were blatantly ripped from version 10 of FREEDOOM, a Free Doom-alternative for PC.
I can see how the devs felt they could take them because they were old sprites meant for an obscure game, but for technology-inspired wall textures to literally use the “AGM” label seen in FREEDOOM to this day makes it much more apparent that a concerningly high amount of this game’s art is just stolen.
Asides from that, this game is also extremely buggy. Levels randomly restarting after clearing a few rooms, buggy ad pop-up opportunities, and a few more.
