Reviews of End of the Universe

  • Excellent Game

Totally worth the admission. The developer still add content and supports this game long after release. At this point I would even pay for additional purchases, but it’s not been necessary frankly. One of my favorite developers for mobile by far. Lots of nuance, seriously repayable, but not trying to compel you to constantly be engaged with the games. I hadn’t played it in months, so I just picked it up again, and I know I am going to log in some fun for at least the next two weeks. What’s great is that this review can be applied to just about every game Kyle Barrett has put out. Give the game a shot if you want to enjoy quick, interesting fun game sessions for a game that clearly a lot of thought and care was put into
  • Awkward

I love ultra blade! This one is as bad as UB is good, however. The difficulty in survival mode seems to think level 3 isn’t a ship max, and that you’ve brought 10 friends or something. Dozens of ships swarm you immediately. Your starting pea shooter is laughable
  • A brilliant, must-have danmaku

I’ve spent WAY more time with this one than I’d care to admit, and I don’t even like danmaku games! EotU is as hard as nails, but don’t let its high difficulty scare you off; it’s the right kind of challenging, the kind that makes you, the player, WANT to “git gud.”

I just have three issues/complaints: the warp projector will crash the game when equipped on any ship some reason; the game crashes without fail on level 59/60 of adventure mode (my phone’s an older model, so this one might not be the game’s fault); and the game doesn’t tell you HOW to unlock new ships and weapons—when you unlock something, it just shows you a prompt saying you’ve unlocked it.

Even with the aforementioned issues, the game’s a great time for danmaku fans and non-fans alike. I highly recommend it.
