Hole distances all understated

Just installed the Tag Heuer Golf app and really love it. But there's one serious problem: I'm not on the course so it's displaying each hole distance from the back (white) tee to the centre of the green. In every case it is understating the distance by about 9% compared with the course card. The course in question is Southampton Golf Course, UK. The course card is in yards and the app is in meters but that in no way accounts for the discrepancy. I installed another app (Hole 19) and that uses the same distance data as the course card. I prefer your app but can you correct the data? (By the way, I can't see how to switch from meters to yards though as I said this does not account for the difference in the distance data).

Hello, thank you very much for sharing your feedback. Let us explain the differences. The distance difference is only valide while you're not on the course, because at TAG Heuer the distances are always calculated in a straight line to the target. You can trust that when you'll be on the course the distances will be well calculated with a very accurate precision. Remember that the distances of the scorecard take in consideration the hole path and not just the distance of play. Also, we will check on the satellite maps if the course needs to be updated on our side (if there have been changes since the first time we mapped it). If you have any other inquiries about a discrepancy on a golf course, please contact us via the TAG Heuer Golf application in Settings > Contact Support > Adding/ modifying a golf course. Finally, to change meters to yards, click on the "Me" tab and open the settings (little wheel icon on the top right of the screen) there, on the second option from the top you can choose your Units preferences. Great app but can’t give feedback

Curl Lewis golf club in Geelong (australia) has changed and app was not updated. How do you inform this?…I like all else, but I’d it don’t work on a course, it just doesn’t work!

WOW!!!

This app is the absolute best. Shows distances to front, back and middle of green, as well as hazards. Very intuitive, simple to use. Great score tracking as well. I would give ten stars if available.

Yardage very unstable with apple watch ultra

Hi.
I've been using the app for ages and very happy with it until I've bought an apple watch Ultra. If the charts are awesome the app works for around an hour before giving random distances (wich is not the case on the iphone). Didn't experience that with my previous apple watches. Thanks for helping me. Don't want to change the app but just desperated.

Best Golf App for Apple Watch

I’ve tried almost all the golf apps and place a priority on how they perform on the Apple Watch as I don’t like to take my phone out during a round to score or see how the hole looks. Being able to see a 2d image of the full hole on your watch is really useful and the interface is what really makes it stand out compared to other golf apps. My main recommendation would be to have a plays like feature for distances depending on slope, elevation, wind etc.. (this is quite a common feature on a lot of other golfing apps). Another useful feature may be to have a scramble mode for the scoring options. But overall it’s a great app and with a few additions it would be perfect.

Couple be perfect but…

Absolutely love the app, specifically for the Apple Watch. No other app lets you move across the whole hole on the watch. However, you wanna talk about draining the battery. You’ll be lucky if you get 16 holes on AW7 because the watch never goes into sleep mode, which for the life of me could not understand why they would design it this way. If you can make the watch go to sleep mode so I can actually use my watch after the round then I’d give it a 5 star.

No Apple Watch support for free version?

Tried to contact support first and it wouldn't let me submit due to a ReCAPTCHA issue.

So is there no Apple Watch support without paying? Every time I clicked on the watch it wanted me to subscribe.

Am I missing something?

Exactly what a golf app should be for Apple Watch

Too many other apps try to do far too much in my view - this Tag Heuer app is super clear on my new Apple Watch Ultra for distances to everything - greens, hazards etc. using to replace Garmin golf GPS. And it just keeps a couple very simple scores/stats as you advance holes. Excellent so far.

Little ball icon?

I’ve had and enjoyed this app for years. There doesn’t seem to be a User Guide, but I’m trying to figure out what that little ball icon is! It’s the one just to the right of the “notes” icon on the screen that shows the hole… help?

Beautiful but outdated

Beautiful app - I think the most enjoyable and useful GPS experience on the watch. Only complaint is the course data is many years old (has a hole as a par 3 that’s been a par 4 for 10+ years). Any way to request an update?
