Best Video Player
Sincerely this is the best video player on this god damn App Store. If you don’t take my word for it then it’s just your loss. I spent an hour browsing many different apps with their egregious payment schemes and eye roll subscription models. This is simple, clean, powerful and works like a charm. 5/5 app dev ur a legend

Best in class but lacks PIP mode
Please add a PIP mode … rest assured no other video player can ever compete this app
Very good
It need some improvement
But excellent so far

PLEASE Add Picture-in-Picture function
This player is perfect except it doesn’t have Picture in Picture functionality in iPadOS that displays SUBTITLES. Meaning subtitled video function in PiP. Split screen, multiple windows doesn’t replace PiP. Will pay for premium when added.
Amazing but could really benefit from external subtitles
This app is pretty much everything I’ve been looking for on an iOS/iPadOS video player. I bought the paid upgrade without any hesitation. Super clean UI, integration with the Files app, supports Open In so no copies of videos, etc.
The ONLY thing that still keeps me on VLC sometimes is the lack of external subtitles support. I’d love to be able to load my own subtitles, or to download them from the internet for whatever video I have open!

Best video player ever
Does everything I need and more, love the bookmark feature on each video, sub folders as well and multiple enhancement options, would like a feature where you can create an image as a video cover but that’s just a small thing, great app
Almost perfect
I was looking for some native GUI for mpv on iOS. Outplayer is almost exactly what I was looking for. However, it needs a couple of features before I can call it perfect.
It would be great if we could see Outplayer’s files inside the Files app. It’s not about iCloud Drive, just a dedicated folder in the “On My iPhone” folder. Firefox uses it to provide easier access to its downloads.
Another thing is Picture in Picture. iOS 15 added a new API that should allow custom video sources in PiP.

Impressive
Amazing progress so far as a video player and certainly a standout option amongst others on iOS. Excellent implementation of mpv.
I would definitely like to see video/folder sorting options and folder navigation, more network playback options (e.g. DLNA, linking with services like Google Drive), and perhaps an in-app URL browser to use mpv for web videos!

So good
I was always wishing mpv is available on iOS, and here it is! Works exactly as expected.
Best media player!
