Easy to setup

This app is very easy to use, works the first time, consistently, and is quick to set up.

Best EV App on the market

The Amp Up - EV Charging app is fantastic! Setting it up was a breeze, and everything worked perfectly the first time I used it. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to locate and start charging sessions without any hassle. It’s also incredibly reliable—each time I’ve used it, the experience has been consistent and smooth. If you want a quick and easy way to manage EV charging, this app is definitely worth trying!

Thank you for using AmpUp!

Great app, great price

App was easy to use, supports Apple Pay and the charging rate was very cheap.

We’re happy you had a good charging experience with AmpUp. Thank you for your business!

This app is evil

You’re supposed to drive up to the parking spot, scan the thing, then plug in the car, and then you’re good. All the other apps manage to get that right. Every second of using this app is torture. It signs you out of your account every time you open it. You can’t sign back in with Google because a Google account already exists (so just let me sign with googles authenticator?????) so you gotta go back into their impossible to use interface and try and sign in there but you don’t know if it’s the Google password or if you set an AmpUp password like a year ago and don’t remember. Make sure you get it within the first three (3) tries because if not they’ll lock your account for three (3) hours. Because these extreme hackers really would care about cracking into my AmpUp account so they can spend a way too large amount of my money on electricity, the same stuff that lightning and hamsters in wheels make for FREE. Anyways I had more of a point but I forgot it, this app is evil, do not use it

Amp Up has rendered the local charging station unusable

The camera does not properly integrate with the app. It used to work at my local station although it was time consuming and required manual entry of station ID. Recently it has required manual port selection at which the app locks up and I have been unable to charge my vehicle. Ever since this Amp Up has has been added to the two local charging stations they have been virtually abandoned.

Charging here for the first time

I needed to charge my rental car (Kia EV6) before returning it to the Newark Airport car return. The site, in a parking garage was convenient, central to the smaller town I was in. Easy to use with the app. It is a standard charge type, not the fast charge that can shorten the battery life. In 2 hours went from41% to 58%, a nice amount that let me do the rest easily on a fast charger before returning it to the airport.

Ridiculous fees

No one at our hospital even uses the chargers because of the ridiculous fees that only give you an hour grace period from the time your car finishes charging. What a waste. You would think that installing chargers would help employees help the environment but no one uses them because it’s not possible with busy clinical schedules and responsibilities to drop everything and move the car in such a narrow window of time. I always get penalized so I’m going to stop charging my hybrid and will instead use gas to get back home. Thanks for nothing!

No Charge - But We Had to Pay

Charger said connection & charging was active - no charge reflected by the car.

Wrong edits available

I only use this app for my home charger so I can’t comment about public chargers. Under the settings, you can’t really do anything except rename your charging unit. You can’t get in there to the settings, such as the Wi-Fi and troubleshoot. My charger was installed by an electrician who does nothing but install EV chargers yet it doesn’t work. I thought maybe it was the Wi-Fi since the blue light is blinking but there is no way for me to go in and edit. I tried doing it from my laptop. Same story. I have this unit on my wall and it is completely worthless and I blame the app.

Useless

Downloaded app, wouldn’t allow me to pay with card or Apple Pay “sorry. It set up for this” or card not recognized. Closed app, got back in a little farther. Accepted payment option. Connected to vehicle aaaand nothing. No charge. Likely paid them $0.10 to verify my Apple ID account(?!). Called customer service. Their phone connection was terrible. Painful to listen to. “Haven yo downloaded the app?” 🙄useless. Another 15 minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. And I still didn’t charge my car. If you are looking to set up a charge station STAY AWAY from this company.
