  • Good concept, Too many Fake Profiles

I will say first off, this app is good in theory. Having algorithms match you instead of two people both swiping right. HOWEVER...I’ve been using this for a week now and I’ve gotten messaged/matches by a handful of fake profiles. I’ve blocked and reported as many as I came across (and let me tell you, it was a lot). And you know you’ve come across a fake profile when: they start out the chat with a generic intro, follow up with maybe asking about location or other information, usually lots of spelling mistakes, and then ending the message asking to use a chatting app like WhatsApp because the app you’re currently on is “too buggy” or “they’re getting spammed with messages”. It’s the same song and dance on lots of Dating apps, but this has a lot of them. If you get rid of the fake profiles, I definitely will rate this app higher
  • Live the idea but most girls are fake

Been on it for about a week and mainly all I’ve been seeing is fake accounts owned by scammers, fake sugar mommies trying to take my bank info, and girls who match with me then never talk. The idea behind it is great but I think there should be a lot more censoring and profile checks to stop scammers and fakes from getting on. Maybe something to do with video or live pic verification. Like I said I think this app would work great and could actually help me with my love life but there’s a lot of issues that need to be fixed and lack of security is one of them
  • Good for making friends

    Great App!

I recommend this app for basically anyone looking to meet new people. I don’t view it as exclusively a “dating” app, and believe although the option is there, it’s also a great place to make new friends. The “rating” feature is amazing and unique for these types of apps. It allows you to see guys in both your area and around the entire world. If you plan on traveling, I definitely suggest utilizing this feature to meet people online before you arrive. This enables you to meet potential date, no matter what intent, and allows you to learn about the good spots! I did this when traveling several times, and all I can say is I was very happy and fortunate to have this app. I believe you can get a free trial before upgrading to “Premium”, which will allow you to familiarize yourself with PearUp, and realize why upgrading is not only the best route, but is fair in features and price. Try it out! It’s undoubtedly the best tool out there for meeting new people. I’d just like to add (because it’s happened to all of us), the people on here are way more friendly and courteous. They try to constantly out-do themselves, and will even ask for your opinion or suggestions on any potential changes, but it’s unlikely as this app provides just about everything! 😚
  • Not one real person so far

I have messaged with over 50 people in about a week. Felt great to get that many connections. Until I realized- they’re all fakes. You can tell with the sentence structure of the responses. A lot of the same copy and pasted responses. Terrible app with misleading profiles. I’ll keep at it and maybe update my review if I end up with a real person to text with.
  • Crap!

Don’t bother with this one. It’s all fake dudes behind chick pics who will start talking to you and inevitably ask for money for gas or to get to you or whatever.
  • Convoluted

This app is super confusing and doesn’t let you talk to anyone. It’s also weird that you’re asked to rank so many people on a scale of 1-10.
  • Full of bots

This app seems like a good idea it’s free and has a different approach but it has no real people full of bots and girls looking for hookups for pay and will try and redirect you to some third party site. Stay away from this app. It’s not worth your time.
  • Disappointed

The app does not let you search by location, ethnicity, specific relationship goals, etc. only age and gender. Some nice profiles but no idea where matches live. I paid the annual fee based on the favorable reviews but they must be fake reviews. I spent $40 USD and I would have been better off burning my money. Stick to Grindr, Scruff, Tinder or Match. At least you’ll meet someone in your neighborhood.
  • Awesome Dating App 👍🏼

I honestly wasn’t quite sure what I was exactly looking for when I joined PearUp. I have tried other apps, but I just wasn’t making any serious connections. And, then I met my boyfriend, or eventually to be. We kicked it off immediately and spent the entire night on FaceTime, getting to know each other better. He left for training in the army. We wouldn’t speak again for more than a month; but when we did, it was like coming home. My boyfriend and I have been together for months already, approaching the one year milestone. In that time we’ve both graduated college, getting ready to start our first job and kick off two successful careers. I often catch myself wondering what our lives would look like, had we not connected that one day, that last day before he disappeared for an entire month. The timing couldn’t have been any more perfect, as cliche as that may be. I’m not one to credit an app for my life, but I will say, I’m thankful everyday that I had the opportunity to meet the person I call my other half. That’s exactly what PearUp is - an opportunity. What you do with it, is up to you. With any dating app, there are unsuccessful stories; however, I want people to know, it doesn’t matter how or where you met, what matters is that it’s possible for your love to grow out of the most unexpected of circumstances. And, so here we are.
