We should probably admit that there are already better, more effective dating apps. I went into this with some optimism but ended up being pretty disappointed.
The huge issue is the complete lack of a location limiter. Without knowing it, you’ll be shown people from all over the country. I spent 3 days talking with someone who I found out was 3,000 miles away. This alone makes the app effectively unusable. There’s also the fact that most profiles you see are just a photo and almost seem fake, so as to waste your limited swipes.
Honestly it shouldn’t be confusing to use an app like this, and in this case it just is. For one, there’s a swiping system like Tinder, but instead you rate each person from 1-10 or pass completely. That’s too many choices. I found my myself always choosing 0/pass or 7. Choosing 10 send a notification to that person, like a “super-like” does on tinder, which I find a bit intense.
I appreciate the work that goes into developing an app, but this one is unfortunately not worth your time in its current state.
This app makes no sense why is there no distance filter? Deleted this quite quickly as I am matched with users hundreds and thousands of miles away...
This is the first app review I have ever written in the 8 years of having an iPhone. The app itself is super interesting and the set up is very unique. But it literally has the BIGGEST flaw. It doesn’t filter by distance.
What I mean by that is, since having the app I’ve matched with quite a few people. However, these people are in Michigan and Minnesota and Georgia and IM IN NEVADA. What’s the point of matching with someone if I can’t “pear up” with them in person
I say this not to be rude but just to voice my opinion. How do you have an app for meeting people, if the people are 500 miles away. Boasting 10 million matches is awesome. But that’s because my profile is going out to the entire continental United States(I assume). There’s attractive people everywhere so of course if the pool I’m choosing from is the entire country I’m gonna match with more people. It’s not really a successful match however, if I can’t ever see or meet this person. Honestly if they fixed that it’d be a pretty solid app. Idk HOW it’s getting more than a 3 star rating. I’ve met 1 person near me and I’m pretty sure that profile is a fake.

I like the system but you can only chose “man” or “woman” for both what you identify as and who you want to see in search and then you can’t change it later. Just.. what??
Came into this app with high hopes and was disappointed almost immediately. First, the rating system is strange- you rate a person from 1-10 with 1/10th point increments- if your rating matches theirs, they’re added to your “grid”. This gets confusing right away because the sheer range of ratings you can give someone! Are they an 8.5 or an 8.6?
Once you match with someone, I have found the location to be less than useful. I have chatted with a handful of people only to learn that they are on the other aide of the country- nothing on their profile indicates this. Also regarding matches, I have been matched with a few profiles that are all less than 1 mile away and always show up as online, but just don’t respond at all and this really feels like a series of fake profiles.
Finally, the “matches” section has odd copy when you go through tour daily matches. “Come back later or try to start a conversation ”- really?

As for your comment about the match page, because it’s calculated between people who are currently online, so when you first come online, it’ll take a few minutes to populate.

I love this app, it’s a very new concept dating app. That you match based on scores. The questions in each profile is also very interesting, not just pictures. Hope the verifying and filtering function can come soon!

Absolute “0” ways to control the matching screen, “0” way to message the person, “0” way to like the person, “0” way to skip the person, “0” way to direct message the person, “0” to add as a friend the person, “0” way to describe yourself on your profile to the person, “0” way for the person to describe themselves, “0” way to do absolutely anything on this app.
I have NEVER recommended a “certain” app to people; I would recommend it when compared to this app.
ABSOLUTE “0” ON EVERYTHING AND EVERY LEVEL!!
I initially gave this 2 stars, for all the sweet young ladies we see— but after 3 months, hundreds of views, dozens of messages, and absolute Zero in support from the clowns running the show, that’s all it is.
The ladies I see on here are all within 10 miles, are online 24/7, never initiate contact and never reply to my messages.
Ditto for the no-customer-support here.
If it looks like a bot, is always on but never talks, if it flies like a cinder block and doesn’t waddle like ducks do, chances are— it’s a bot.
Glad I didn’t waste any money on this— it’s also a great way to look at pretty pictures and waste lots of time, too.......

If there could be a setting to adjust how far in miles would help a lot.
