Changed to subscription model that’s ridiculously expensive
$70 for an app with some preset filters for cell phone photos seems outrageous. Paid for a couple films but lost them once it switched to subscription. Now you can’t just pay for one. Have to pay $30 a year for “pro” to take more than ONE single photo with a film type. It’s a shame that all these apps are switching to subscription models. Soon we won’t own anything and will be renting or subscribing to everything. Was a cool app but time to uninstall.Alternative app reccomendation
As many of us who have been here from the beginning know. This app went downhill fast when they implemented their high priced subscription based model. I would highly suggest looking into “old roll” as an alternative app. It does the same thing with the same ui. Vintage film emulation without the $90 lifetime purchase that doesn’t even work for some people. I recently found it so I haven’t explored all aspects of it yet. But they give you a handful of free options and then you are able to purchase the films separately or subscribe/purchase a lifetime subscription. From what I see right now lifetime is around $18 which seems a lot more reasonable and they are still updating and releasing more films. And you have the option to purchase the films separately for $0.99-$2.99 (like old filmo)
Definitely not trying to kiss up to old roll. But I just really miss old filmo where they released constant updated with some yearly freebies as well. $90 for lifetime is a joke especially if people still can’t access their films after paying. They should have at least kept the option of buying single rolls.
I should have never updated and kept the old version. The best interface, just wished video worked!!
This analog camera app is my absolute favorite to date. 69 rolls to chose from and they are all so realistic. I love the printing feature and how it actually saves like a film strip!! I will def give a 5 star review once the video option works. I paid for the full version hoping to unlock that feature only to find it was buggy and would force close the app if tried to use it.
