  • Changed to subscription model that’s ridiculously expensive

$70 for an app with some preset filters for cell phone photos seems outrageous. Paid for a couple films but lost them once it switched to subscription. Now you can’t just pay for one. Have to pay $30 a year for “pro” to take more than ONE single photo with a film type. It’s a shame that all these apps are switching to subscription models. Soon we won’t own anything and will be renting or subscribing to everything. Was a cool app but time to uninstall.
  • Alternative app reccomendation

As many of us who have been here from the beginning know. This app went downhill fast when they implemented their high priced subscription based model. I would highly suggest looking into “old roll” as an alternative app. It does the same thing with the same ui. Vintage film emulation without the $90 lifetime purchase that doesn’t even work for some people. I recently found it so I haven’t explored all aspects of it yet. But they give you a handful of free options and then you are able to purchase the films separately or subscribe/purchase a lifetime subscription. From what I see right now lifetime is around $18 which seems a lot more reasonable and they are still updating and releasing more films. And you have the option to purchase the films separately for $0.99-$2.99 (like old filmo)

Definitely not trying to kiss up to old roll. But I just really miss old filmo where they released constant updated with some yearly freebies as well. $90 for lifetime is a joke especially if people still can’t access their films after paying. They should have at least kept the option of buying single rolls.

I should have never updated and kept the old version.
  • The best interface, just wished video worked!!

This analog camera app is my absolute favorite to date. 69 rolls to chose from and they are all so realistic. I love the printing feature and how it actually saves like a film strip!! I will def give a 5 star review once the video option works. I paid for the full version hoping to unlock that feature only to find it was buggy and would force close the app if tried to use it.
  • They must be quite hungry

I essentially own every roll up until the point when they switched to "Fimo pro" for $30 per year or $90 permanently. In other words, I only need 10 rolls. Previously, I could have bought these rolls for $0.99 or $1.99 (a total of less than $20). I now have to pay $300 every 10 years? They must be quite hungry—wow. I used to use this photo application exclusively, and Fimo's actions offend and disappoint me presently. Profoundly saddened! They have destroyed the very essence of photography by trying to charge what everyone else is charging but without any benefits. Zero stars.
  • Get rid of the subscription model.

The whole point of the app is to feel vintage, going to the store to get different rolls, whilst eliminating the headache of the film process. Why did you have to go Sub mode? No one goes to a film store and buys a subscription to come in and get different rolls.
  • Super expensive and how does it work with video?

I see a video tab but can’t import any of my videos. When choosing video films, I don’t see any way to record video?
  • No responses

I am a pro member and have tried contacting the developers with no response. There is a new “activity” film which I cannot access. There is no information about how to unlock the film and no response from the developers after 4 or 5 tries. Very frustrating and annoying.
  • Can’t purchase a single film!!!

I really like all the films and would like to explore them step by step. Considering the function and film overall, I definitely would give 5 ⭐️. But! What really annoying me is that I cannot purchase a single film each time. There is no option! 👎(that’s the reason why the app only deserves 3 ⭐️) You have to either get a year membership (film pro) or spend $90 to get access to other films.
  • $30 per year or $90 forever? That’s a NO

I loved this app before buying individual filters when I found one that I liked for a $1 or $2. But now with the subscription model. Nope.
Asking for $30 or $90, that’s a lot with minimal amount of options or features.
I can’t even change the aspect ratio of each “film”.
A film either has the option or not.
I would like to have the option to change the ratio on all films and not just some.

If there was two purchase options…
    #1 - pay for individual films - I would
    Or
    #2 - pay for subscriptions

You would make your money either way.
Of course don’t charge crazy amounts for those wanting a la carte films.
  • Disappointed since subscription started

When you were charging for gear, films came out monthly. I purchased them all, now have to pay to use the app (subscription fee) and no new films for months. Seems like we are paying twice for nothing new. Disappointed in what had been a favorite.
