Doesn’t work without the smart pen
Downloaded this app to use with a NEWYES notepad - don’t work unless you have the smart pen, which I don’t. The notepad itself works fine as an erasable surface but you can only store your notes by taking a photo and storing them somewhere. This app doesn’t help with that.
Works well
The app works well. You can scan your finished page, highlight certain parts if important, create tags and tag pages for easier search. Saving as image on your phone or emailing the pages works as well. All in all simple but useful app that works well with the notebook.
Not bad but not great.
I got this for work. The notebook is fine. It’s the app that needs work. The broken English is not easy to understand. I scanned my note and it didn’t recognize the writing correctly. That won’t work for me.
Don’t spend money on the pen and books
Software is terrible. Does not export to OneNote or other common software. Lost 1/2 page of text after clicking on OCR. Language barrier makes using it extremely difficult. Clicking on cloud services crashes app instantly. Very disappointing.
iPad support missing
The app works ok on iPhone but it would really be useful if the app would work natively on iPad full screen

Rough English
The language barrier is definite in this app. I was really confused on what “bind mailbox” meant for longer than I should’ve been.
Also, why make an app for a notebook when all it does is takes pictures and does nothing to the notes?
Rocketbook looks 10 times nicer. Do not recommend.
