Barely functional
I’ll leave behind my opinions about this app and new system replacing our previous and our 80s and focus entirely on the app itself. When it was first introduced to us in the store a week before launch, I thought the app in its current state was a public beta and that all of its functionality issues would be fixed on the day it properly launched. I am using the iPhone XR, and the app does not compensate for the size of the display screen. The bottom buttons are difficult to press due to them being on the same level as the pull up chevron (essentially the X family’s home button), and the in-app back button found on some screens, the “x” in the right corner, is on the same level as the phone’s pull-down for control center. The entirety of the app is also off kilter by about the same length as the phone’s notch. Accommodating for the notch would likely fix these issues at the cost of the welcome message in the banner, which is supposed to be right where the notch. But other experienced issues are data loss inside of the drop down menus within the rewards tab showing a blank area if the app attempts to scroll, and the leaderboard not pulling data or updating. By now everybody in my store has earned points, but it still shows zeros across the board.

Point change is ruining my life
This app has very few issues for being newly implemented! The set up is easy to work with although the profile pictures are a bit distorted.
However, they updated the amount of points it takes to get a free item to something unreasonable. Taking away our 80% off benefit was something that was supposed to be mediated by being able to earn free merch. I will agree that the points initially needed to get free merchandise was a bit low. Now the numbers are not feasible, they need to adjust and find a happy medium. As someone who works in a top 3 Aerie store and earns points rather quickly, this change is difficult for even me to fathom. I cannot imagine the frustration with lower volume stores.
