The app was very good but it crashed since last weekend version update on my old iPad.

No Chromecast Support

The best way to use your iPad as a photo frame
We've tried all the other apps. They're clunky, with weird restrictions and confusing UIs. They also have less reliable Google API connections, needing to keep logging in again and again.
This app is so easy to use. Connects immediately and you just do it once. Has lots of settings including a reliable night mode and it can even broadcast to Apple TVs via Screen Mirroring (autocrops nicely). We love the "hide" photo feature, as sometimes our phone screenshots ended up in the vacation albums!
The UI is very easy, even for my not-tech-enthusiast parents.
A beautiful, simple way to reflect on your memories. If you have Google Photos and a stationary iOS device, this is the app you need for photo slideshows. Nothing else compares.Show lessikjadoon

It works but it’s soooo slow to start a slide show unless the pictures are on your phone or tablet. I linked my Google Photo account to it and tried doing a slideshow of a folder using a high speed WiFi connection in my house and it took well over a minute to start and the time between pics took forever.Show lessDasHook Glock

Hi there, Thanks for your feedback! We're aware of an issue that can cause the app to be unable to communicate with Google servers late at night / early in the morning. We released an update today to fix this. Please note that Shuffle mode requires Premium. Premium is an in-app purchase.Fantastic for using iPad as photo frame
Been running this app for a week without ever having to touch the iPad. Makes it a superb digital photo frame. Can point to iCloud shared albums which update even as the slideshow is ongoing so can always add new photos! Brilliant.cfl98

Thanks for your feedback! We have looked several times at integrating Chromecast. Unfortunately Google places heavy restrictions on the user interface. This means we would need to make a significant design change of our app, because Google expects the host app (SoloSlides) to be playing video (not photos). We're constantly checking if there's another way to bring Chromecast support and we'll add it when it becomes possible!Not compatible with Chromecast
