  • korean won't work?

i have been using this app for a while before it even got updated with Japanese, my Korean always worked fine and the Japanese still works fine but now the Korean won't work like at all, despite having access to my mic, me making a new account, deleting and redownloading, I've tried everything it wont work, anytime I try to speak it cuts me off not even giving me the chance to try speaking the words when I've never had this problem before until just after the Japanese update came out, I've been learning Japanese for the time being but the Korean just will not work at all which is kinda upsetting since I really wanted to learn Korean, I don't know how to fix this and I really want to learn Korean, I have no idea if it's my phone or the app but yeah :(

Oh no Yangi.n!! Please please please help us help you. We want to figure out why some of our users are going through this. Could you please send me an email to nelson@teuida.net with a screen recording of this problem? I'll make it a priority to get this fixed! Thank you - Nelson
  • Really good

Unlike douligo this teaches you more how to speak and is actually correct douligo makes imperfections (which is fair) but this has more backed up info on it as well as teaching it slowly at first and then at the end it gets you to say it all together it is also done by someone who actually seems to know the language and actually speaks it which is nice because then we know that the person where speaking to actually understands the language themselves but I recommend getting Duolingo as well as this app because it's always better to have 2 opinions but I guess in this case it would be 2 teachers but the app is really good

  • I love it

I have tried so many apps and when i did it was tiring and hard to learn because they were doing it so bad and fast this is great for step
By step learning I love it because it not only teaches you about how to say a word it teaches about the culture and how to pronounce it.
Another reason I like it is because it takes things slow and you can try again and actual people are teaching you this. Lastly some to most apps get the language and how to speak a word and the words to a language wrong because they don’t know it themselves they just want money with this app it doesn’t do that it is right on point with the translation and is correct with the words. This app is really good wish I could give it a 50/5 but ya’ll just need to try it and tell your friends and family to if they want to learn and been looking don’t walk run.

  • Best app I’ve ever used

Currently I’m learning Korean for my future career (language teacher) this app has really helped with my pronunciation of words I definitely would recommend it to anyone interested in learning
  • Good but..

You need to have some more grammar focus, you completely skipped out some vowels like the diphthongs in the beginning and jumped straight into putting them into sentences before teaching learners how to pronounce them, you also didn’t teach the grammar rules when it comes to 4 alphabet letters in a block either. fortunately I knew this from having previous Korean lessons but a new learner wouldn’t know this. Not only that but the dictation needs improvement sometimes I say the exact sentence and it will show up as that but say it’s still wrong or I’ll say it exactly how it’s meant to be said and it doesn’t register and the only way to get it to register is to sound the individual consonant blocks to get the dictation to register and then it decides I’m too slow. Also give more time while the learner is speaking before deciding it’s wrong or to give them the hint. I’ll be mid sentence trying to translate and put the sentence together and the system decides I’m taking too long and tells me how to say it even though I’m just trying to process it. The app definitely needs some work but I like the concept of it so far.

OMG! Thank you so much for this thorough review. Yeah it seems like you were selected as the B group in our A/B test. We're testing our Hangeul lessons and it definitely isn't complete. THanks for catching that though :). THe dictation! YES. The mic is really buggy these days and we've been getting a lot of feedback. It's really a big problem in our learning experience and we're definitely prioritizing fixing this. It's so frustrating when they cut you mid sentence. Thank you for feedback once again. It's critical feedback like these that have helped our small team make this app. I hope you stick with us until that 3-star experience becomes a 5! -Nelson
  • Amazing

Would definitely recommend this app if you’re trying to learn Korean or Japanese because it’s not like Duolingo when they give you random questions to answer this app starts from scratch and goes step by step, love the fact that it gives you kinda the experience of learning the language too. Just don’t like the fact you have to pay for the stories with your keys even tho you get 1 per day(unless you have premium). Other than that absolutely amazing!!🤩

  • this app is too good to be true

okay so i downloaded this app yesterday and i followed the lessons for day 1 and now i fluently know how to say ‘hello’, ‘thank you’, ‘yes’, ‘no’, and ‘what is this?’ in japanese! i’ve always been a fan of japan so this app helped me so much even if it is only day 2! although i'm normally a little sad when i’ve finished a day and i can’t do another lesson because i either don’t have enough keys or it’s the end of the day lesson 😅 but that can’t be helped so it’s alright! as a british person, i used duolingo before, not knowing this app was a thing, and duolingo helped me but it didn’t make me remember any of the things i needed to remember, and it was hard to pronounce the words because of my british accent. but when i downloaded this app, i actually could pronounce the words and now i have the words in my brain! i still need a little practice but it’s still a really good app! do recommend!!

  • Great App!! 5 star

It’s very easy to feel stressed learning a new language and very daunting also when learning one with so many different characters so this app teaches you the verbal language so that you don’t need to do full time study, if that’s something you’re interested in I would definitely give them a shot because it’s very easy to follow and understand, it also provides you with a video option to talk with someone as if you’re having a conversation in their native language

  • This app is great, accessibility is my only issue

I love the app! The interactive learning is genius and works very well, with layout and design also being very well done, but the study key function bugs me a bit for how long you have to wait. Personally I think you shouldn’t have to wait like 20 hours just to be able to do a lesson, and I find it very strange the key function is not able to be unlocked with ads like a lot of mobile apps do. The time limit on study keys also bugs me for the fact if you want to do a lesson, you may have to wait a certain time just to do your lesson, which I find defeats the purposes of streaks because of how easily you can mess up your streak just by not having enough real world time. Assuming the study key resets every 24 hours and you do your lesson at like 4 am you have to wake up at that time to do the lesson so you don’t lose your streak, it just doesn’t seem reasonable and something like maybe a 4 hour cool down would make more sense to me. Other than that the app is great and I often find myself accidentally replying to the tutor when not supposed to because it genuinely works that well.
    Happy new years ٩(^‿^)۶!!!

  • TEUIDA 💙vs Duolingo 💚

The app greatly consists of realistic immersion and thought into each of their lessons, I like it due to the classroom environment to get your brain ticking. Duolingo may focus on more of the grammar and the game like effect while TEUIDA focuses on you getting to the point faster!

If you want a slightly more fun and competitive, learning experience, I would use Duolingo (plus with many friends which do, Duolingo it can be very fun and competitive)

But if you really want to learn the language faster than I would choose TEUIDA!
