Impossible to get a refund . Deceptive Business Practices

I have had this app less than 24 hours and felt it was very “ underwhelming “ the screenshots you get while going through process of setting up is not what u see once app is installed . You don’t keep what they show. Basically just tells I to walk. The plans are nothing earth shattering. I’m
Already doing more than my recommend walk plan. As others mentioned this is a trick , u think u are buying via App Store but it directs u to web browser somehow via your mobile. So purchase does not show up in App Store to request a refund. Says if your purchased via web browser they don’t refund u !! Their “legal”doc say u have to go to their website to request a refund but it just takes me through same setup process again to setup account. This is deceptive!!! How can an app show up via apple App Store but then redirect u to their site ( deceptively in the background) to make the actual purchase.!! I will be reporting this deceptive business practice to Apple Immediately!! I want my refund since I had this less than 24 hrs and this app is not letting me submit this refund request via their website or the application!!

Scam company STAY AWAY!

The app itself is laid out nice. But my steps and speed were never accurate and the novelty wore off fast.

I don’t even have any paper trail or memory of agreeing to sign up for another month at a cost of $57 CAD! Only 2 days after the charge they refuse to refund and just offer a year free. Please read the return policy, the product clearly doesn’t work as they have SO many loop holes in their return policy, it’s laughable.

Google this company and you’ll see many ppl are in disputes with them. Many say they had no idea how they got charged as they didn’t agree to anything. Others say the company tells you they will notify you 3 days before renewal; that does not happen either.

Complete con! Avoid!

I haven’t ever written a review for an app, but feel I need to with this! Total rip off and scam, avoid!! Would give ZERO * if I could.
I originally downloaded it as a free trial, followed the questionnaire which told me to do 3k steps a day. I already do this day to day mostly, so knew that wasn’t going to make a difference. Therefore, haven’t used the app/any workout plans etc at all and out of the blue, been hit with a near £40 charge for a pointless app. Wasn’t made aware of any charges or how much, the auto renewal isn’t obvious at all. Complete fraud, very misleading and unfair commercial practice.
Contacted the help team to be told I’m not eligible for a refund and offered me a ‘complimentary year access to the app!’ How insulting! If I wanted to use the app, I would have been using it, and there wouldn’t be an issue to raise with the team.
Complete trap and con, avoid at all costs- much better apps that are more suitable out there!

Great APP

This is an excellent app if you want to get into shape gradually. I absolutely like how the workout increased slowly in intensity and length. Thanks to this up I got back into running. Dancing part is awesome … you do not feel it like exercise at all.

Scam - don’t fall victim

One of those “free trial with auto renew” traps but way worse. Found out the hard way that the subscription, despite signing up using my Apple Pay account, does not get listed in your apple subscriptions like all other apps. Why does this matter? Because you’re more likely to miss canceling the auto renew and getting screwed with a 40usd charge for a single month of use.
Worse - I contacted them within 5 min of getting charged (I have over visa notifications) saying I don’t use the app, I won’t be using it, and want it canceled/refunded. Their answer? “This doesn’t fall under out guidelines for cancellation, but we will let you have a year subscription instead”. Again… the app subscription was technically active for less than 5 MINUTES!!!! Just another app trying to screw people into tricked auto renewals at a MASSIVE fee (40 usd!!!!!)
Aside from that - even if I used the app it isn’t worth it. It’s just an app telling you to do weird workouts while you walk (not what I was expecting). Nothing you can’t find for free on YouTube.

It’s really helped me lose weight

Signed up for a year and 8 weeks in I’m a stone lighter and feeling much fitter. I’m terrible when it comes to fitness normally, I start programmes but then give up after a few weeks. WalkFit with it’s easy to follow daily workouts that don’t require any sort of additional equipment and the free walk option has made it really easy to get into a fitness routine that works for me. I’ll admit the first 4 weeks were hard as my body adjusted to movement it clearly wasn’t used to but now I can walk further and workout not to mention go about my daily tasks without stiffness and pain. Especially after discovering the stretching routines on the app. For this gym-shy fatty to now feel agitated if I haven’t done my activity for the day is nothing short of miraculous. Only dropped a star as a tiny niggle with my music stopping when I open the app to check my progress on free walks

Terrible Service

Make sure you read that fine print… I wanted to try this app, got it. Tested it for maybe a week and then never used it again. Forgot about it as life gets busy and then 3 months later I was charged $93 CAD. Which I needed these funds for Christmas gifts for my young son and the moment I was notified by email that they took this money out of my account, I tried to get them to refund me. They refused, throwing in my face the fine print. No exceptions… now I am down $93 with an app I don’t even use.

Scammy and Poor Customer service

This app unlike others for iPhones does not link subscriptions to your subscription management centre on your phone. The process and ordeal to unsubscribe post the trial period is a nightmare. For this risk alone, being charged $50/ month and being unable to easily cancel, I don’t recommend.

I tried to get a refund because of how challenging it was to get it and all they’ve offered is a year of a service I don’t want.

Walk 10k steps a day and you’ll be fine…

Disappointing experience

Not only did I find the app and its programs disappointing the customer service was equally as disappointing. $56/month for what?

Edit: Prior to submitting this review I contacted WalkFit support and had several emails back and forth which led to no solution or positive results.

Love it!

Found the workouts perfect for their ability to do almost anywhere and and just the right amount of time out of my day usually 22-28 minutes. I feel like I really get a well rounded workout. I added 1 pound hand held weights after the first two months and with these workouts and doing 30 minutes on my elliptical 5 days a week and eating low carb have lost 25 pounds in 2.5 months! So glad I got started!
