Behind the times
Compared to the new start up banks this App is so far behind the times. Cumbersome and archaic. Nothing good to say really
Cannot do much
Cannot do much on the app, like freeze/stop your cards because they are lost or misplaced. Cards cannot be added to Apple Pay like other banks. You also cannot chat with customer care etc
Device Registered on multiple devices
The App doesn’t seem to recognize when you’ve removed the app from another device and want to install it in a new phone.
At that point you can’t login on rather apps, or get the security code to log in through the browser.

Cannot update and cannot pay
I have old phone and once again I am letdown to make a payment. The older version cannot download and the app will not allow you in to confirm a payment. Incredible!!!
No pop-up to confirm online payment
To pay online I have to go to the app to confirm the transaction but there is no pop-up when opening the app. So I cant do online payments.

Where is global transfers ???
Terrible
Downloaded the app on iPad and the opening screen says “login details need changing” but the page freezes and does not allow input. Called customer support and they said” the app is supposed to work, delete it and download again”. I did this but still the same issue.
Downgrade
The global transfer option has been removed. The log off button is not easy to locate on the main account screen. The username is automatically remembered so only one profile an be accessed by one device (I share a device with another HSBC customer)
Poor
Downloaded the new app and its stuck on the initial page “your login details are changing” from there nothing happens, no options.
