Bodyweight by Mark Lauren User Reviews

Highly Recommend

I have used the Body 2.0, 9 minute workouts and 90 Challenge programs since March and they have helped my mobility on top of the body composition improvements. The app itself works seamlessly with my smart tv, and completed workouts sync back to my phone. I previously used Mark’s YAYOG app and book a decade ago and found this iteration to be a massive improvement on a program that I really like (you don’t need a gym or equipment).

Great App and Exercise Programming

Programs available for every level (beginner to advanced) in different time blocks (9 minute workouts if you’re busy), the app is helpful for marking days completed and syncs to my smart TV. I’ve been using it for about a year consistently and feel more flexible, look fitter and enjoy the workouts provided. It’s much cheaper than the gym and much more interesting than making it up myself. Thanks Mark & Co!

More modifications please

Mark, like other fitness professionals, seem to forget that everyone is not an athlete. There are seniors like me (61 years old) who have arthritic knees or other joint problems. Kneeling positions are especially problematic. It would be great if more modifications were covered.
Revised: There is no perfect workout app. This is one of the best workout apps without one huge drawback. There are very little, or no modifications offered for the exercises. This is not a problem with the pre-prep and most of prep programs. I am going to use this app and make my own modifications where needed as I advance to more difficult programs.

Sorry to hear that you struggled getting started. The Prep Program and Bodyweight Training 2.0 are approved for use by physical therapist in Germany. They’re extremely safe and effective. There’s just no way we can create custom programs for everyone based on all possible ailments, which are infinite. However, I do interact via the comments and community so you can get custom recommendations. Wishing you the best of luck.

Fit at any age and any level

First I was concerned that the program would not get me “sweaty”. I thought the exercises were to slow. Was I wrong! I sweat at most exercises because of the simplicity and science behind each workout.
This is what you’ll get within the first six months: leaner body, some definition, flexibility, mobility, alignment, confidence, motivation, and a sweaty workout mat. It has intense days and and easy days allowing for recovery.
I enjoy the guidance along the way, the explanation of each workout, and the variety of difficulty it offers.
Mark’s team constantly improves the offered programs.
What I like also the most is communication. They are very responsive. Additionally, there is a community that shares experiences and concerns. And you get answers.
You can do this program alone or in conjunction with other workouts or apps.
Check out the website page and read about the history. We have some real experts here getting us fit. This is calisthenics at a level you can perform at any age, and any fitness level.

Superb Bodyweight Training

I have been using Mark Lauren’s training programs for years now. I love the progressions of the routines and the excellent tutorials. I have learned so much about how to listen to my body and trust in the process.

If you are someone who doesn’t like gyms and weights but wants to get serious about fitness, this app is well worth the subscription! There is something for all ages and levels of fitness.

Mark Lauren is a genius!

The best out there

"Thanks to Mark Lauren On Demand, at 37-years old I am in the best shape of my life. I started Mark’s program in 2011 and followed this progression until unfortunate circumstances led me to six consecutive shoulder surgeries. I doubted if my overall health would recover.

However, Mark’s program focuses on proper body movement and injury avoidance. In result, I recovered in full and Mark’s program allows my body to progress to new fitness goals. Without a doubt, I trust Mark and his team with my health."

The best fitness app available

I have been using the Mark Lauren app for several years. After trying many other fitness programs- I can honestly say that this is the best. Smart, thoughtful and safe progressions. Just put your trust in the process, show up consistently- and within a few weeks, you will feel great and notice a big difference.

Get strong and feel good

The best part of Mark’s programs is you start with you current fitness level and build. I’ve used Mark’s program for over 2 years and the workouts are outstanding.

I’m strong and moving better than ever.

Unlike some programs that left we too sore to move, these workouts help you move better and get stronger starting in just 20 minutes per day.

Easy to add these workouts to an existing schedule especially if you lots of cardio. Great as workouts on their own.

I started with Prep Program and have completed BW 2.0, 90 Day Challenge, and Strong and Lean Cycles 1-5, as well as used daily workouts.

Plenty of varied and lots of support in the online community.

Fantastic app and even better support

I’ve been using the Mark Lauren workout since his book came out along time ago. This app has been wonderful because the workouts are so easy to follow and really comprehensive. For some reason or another I wasn’t able to log into my account on the app and I had to reach out to customer support. Lea was so prompt and helped me get my account back. The app is fantastic, the method is really effective, and customer support is exceptional. Thank you for creating such a great product!

Great workouts and UX

I’m a convert. I’ve been doing yoga and various forms of weightlifting over the years and it’s been eye opening to see how weak I still was when I started these workouts. But my body has been feeling better than ever. I don’t have joint pain and other issues I’ve accepted as part of lifting and being in my mid-40’s despite ensuring proper form. Even though I have gone to the gym regularly, I started with the 12 week prep workout to learn the moves and proper mechanics before starting body weight 2.0 but I’m simultaneously doing the 10 week HIIT. These are *great* workouts. The prep is great in the morning to loosen up and the HITT gets me sweating. I dislike typical cardio and I’m a very routine person but even I appreciate the variations and how it gets my heart pumping. I’ve cancelled my gym membership.

The instructions and guidance are clear, I don’t need to stare at the screen to follow along and the tutorials before each workout are very helpful. I love that even Mark himself responded to my comment in the app.

And as a professional software QA analyst, I feel this is a high quality app. Very user-friendly, good user experience, and I’ve yet to experience any bugs. This is one of my only app reviews, I’m enjoying it that much.
