Fantastic Offline Navigation
I recently went on a camping trip in Colorado’s Collegiate Peaks and did a lot of hiking and trail running.
I used the web app to pick out some potential dispersed campsites and created points that synced with the mobile app. I downloaded offline maps of the areas I planned to be and they were super helpful to locate campsites and find new trails. From the web app I knew the cell coverage was pretty spotty so I didn’t have to worry about checking for a signal to load a map which was a huge stress relief.
This app has a lot of potential. I’m hoping for more trail coverage. Can’t wait to see what’s next!Great app!
I love all of the features on the website map. The app has the key features to access maps and a couple of layers off-grid. Looking forward to more layers in the app!Developer Response
Thanks for the feedback! Hunt Unit and Wildlife layers are coming to the app in the next version.Use the App correctly!
It isn't too complicated but you have to use it correctly. I plan my trips on the web interface at home and then sync to my app. Once I get back into data coverage, it uploads to my profile.
Easy, easyEveryone else is right, this app is BUSTED
I read the reviews where everyone said you were taken to a sign-in screen with no way to create an account. I thought I’d give it a shot, and they are right - there is no way to access this app directly from the app interface. Super-weak user experience and I can’t believe Apple let this in the App Sore... #instadeleteMap Downloads do not work
First I tried downloading maps for offline use. Perhaps I had too many in the queue (about 7), but the downloading froze and would not resume even after closing app. I had to delete the app and reinstall. This time I downloaded one map at a time successfully. However, the next day all the maps I laboriously downloaded were gone and the app claims I have not downloaded any maps. Please fix as this app has the potential to become my new favorite and go-to for backcountry exploration. Thanks
Update with version 1.1: Hi, after a week my downloaded maps were no longer saved for offline use. Do you automatically delete the data after a certain amount of time? Or perhaps they get deleted with a new version of the app is installed? ThanksCan’t get in
I just downloaded this for the first time. It says “welcome back” “please sign in to your pro account”. And a place for me to log in... nothing else. No sign up, no way to get out of the screen. I don’t have a pro account. I’ve never downloaded this app before but I guess I won’t be using it now since I can’t even get into it.Awesome!
I have a Gaia premium subscription and use it for overlanding and for scouting 4x4 trails and camp spots. This app is a great competitor. I like how the filters are arranged and how different elements and icons can be shown/hidden. A few kinks, but I think I will give this app a shot on my next trip!New app, but growing!
I love the web based app, I use it to explore hikes, dispersed camp grounds, scope out and map routes. The native app works great, and I’m looking forward to the new features they keep adding! Can’t sign up for account
It puts you in a sign in screen right away. There is no option to sign up for a new account. Doesn’t make any sense, you are required to sign in yet can’t sign up.
I assume you have to go to website and sign up for account, that’s more hassle than I want to go thru to check out unknown app.
Figure out a way to let me test drive right from the app and I’ll give it another try!
