  • Needs help…

The app at the stations is clunky. Hard to follow and not intuitive. Good effort though and hopeful improvements coming.
  • Fraud

I've had a terrible experience with this app. I only charged my vehicle once, but I've been billed six times. When I reached out to customer support, they claimed they weren't responsible for the charges. If they aren’t the ones charging my card, then who is? This lack of accountability is concerning and unacceptable. I would advise to find a different app.

  • questionable billing

received a charge from this guys on my credit card >4 months after I visited Portugal. I have no idea what it's for
  • So stessful

We rented a car in Portugal and europcar gave us an electric car. I had been thinking of buying an electric car, so accepted to see if I would invest in one, but after our experience, most likely will be buying a hybrid.

We lost at least 7 hours of our trip due to problems with charging stations. We drove from Lisbon to Porto, had to stop in Coimbra for a charge as we were down to 20%. We loaded the app with 100 euros, but station would not accept the bar code wallet cause it kept wanting a miio card which tourists don't have. We were there for 3 hours, stressed and tired. Thank God, there a local gentleman who charged our car to 30% so we could get to our hotel in Porto. We arrived at the hotel at almost 1am and were lucky that reception was still awake

We tried to charge the car the next morning but had the same problem, post kept wanting a card that we didn't have. We were at 9% by this point and very stressed again

We took the car back to europcar and asked for a gas car. Not happy with the app at all since it caused us so much stress when while on vacation. I at least hope that miio can give us our 100 euros back that we were not able to use

  • It works!

An RFID that I can top up from my UK bank account that works!
  • It doesn't work

We rented an electric car as an experiment and now I'm not happy about it. The charge is reduced, and it is not at all clear how to pay for the charge. It is better to take a car with DSV and not have to worry about charging the battery. There is no way to contact support, the email is not valid, so it all looks like a scam. The payment is processed quickly, but the money has not yet been credited to the account, although two or more hours have already passed. I have already regretted 100 times that I bought an electric car in Portugal.

  • Stressful & absolutely hate it

If you're a tourist do yourself a favor and don't get an electric car. We wasted a lot of time looking for charging spots & whats worse, the app does not work well with most charging stations. The folks who work at these stations have no clue how to help you. Charging is also expnsive. EV movement in EU is a scam!!!

  • Doesn’t work

Useless app that won’t let me login. I think it’s just collecting data.
  • Charging network abysmal

Miio cannot remotely connect via the app with many stations and even when it supposedly can does not activate a charging session. It’s a mess along with the worst customer support imaginable. What’s the point of making an in app support submission that isn’t immediately addressed?! Please Work it out and get up with the rest of Europe.

  • Not user friendly

Terrible experience. Why you can’t just rock up and pay-as-you-go is beyond me. You have to use this app which is pathetic at best. Payment method took 5 attempts to setup. The link between Stripe is weird, should be in-app rather than directing me to a website, seemingly to avoid App Store fees? Overall very clunky, too many ‘features’, and not user friendly one bit.
