This launches faster than most syncing note editors, and the interface is intuitive and clean. After testing editing on multiple devices with a git repo on a personal server in an attempt to stress test it, all interactions were reflected correctly in the git history. I could not be more pleased with this app!

One of a Kind
I have been looking for a git-based not-taking app for iOS for a long time. So glad this is finally here. GitJournal does a great job making the commit/push/pull process a seamless “sync” like other note apps.

Good idea but it crashes constantly
I am not able to write a single entry. Also, it does not appear to support all git URLs, so, for instance, if you want to sync with a git server non a non-standard SSH port, you can't.

Hi. We have released a new version which should hopefully fix the crashes. Additionally there is no information on how to use it with a non standard SSH port over here - https://gitjournal.io/support/ We're an open source app and maintain a list of open issues over here - https://github.com/GitJournal/GitJournal/issues - Please feel free to vote on existing issues or open new ones.
